I bought this as my first kitchen/ dining table after graduating college. It is the perfect size for my loft apartment with vaulted ceilings. Comfortably seats 4 but you could squeeze an extra 2 on the ends if you really needed to. I'm very pleased and would buy it again!
This table was just as advertised, arrived quickly and was easy to put together. The only negative is that it scratches very easily, and when I say scratches, I mean it leaves a bright tan stripe where it's scratched that is impossible not to notice even at a quick glance. We have no children and we're not rough on furniture, so I was pretty surprised to see this. Otherwise it's a delightful table, perfect as a breakfast table for two.
Just don't look underneath - the 'inexpensive' really shows there with the sloppy holes. However, this table looks amazing and is perfect for our dining room where it will be used once/twice a year. This was much heavier than expected. I worry about the top - may put a coat of protective poly on it so we don't get water marks from glasses.
I didn't expect to find an extension table within my budget but Google and Overstock are wonderful tools. The wood is not solid wood but that's something I'm willing to secede.
How often do you see a clear table? Not very! I am loving it because it works with my current interior styling and will continue to do so forevermore.
