This table brings me back to the 1950s. It looks almost like one of those tables you'd find in a diner from that time period. It has a vintage look, but the aluminum finish gives it touch of modern flare. This is a very cute and compact table. It's perfect for a small kitchen or small dining room area. It is extremely sturdy and strong. It did take me some time to put the table together, but it was not hard at all. I've seen similar tables priced for way more, this table is a bargain. I definitely got my money's worth and then some.
I researched numerous industrial tables on different websites before I selected this one from angelo:HOME on Overstock. I even went on angelo:HOME's website and called them. I was quite confident in my decision before ordering. Galvenized steel frame, real elm wood table top, and has wheels - - these were the features I was looking for. I received the table, and assembled it myself with little problem. I just needed to find a neighbor to help me lift the assembled table up off the floor and turn it upright. However, when I did this, there was an oil stain on the top that affected the finish - - but Overstock replaced the tables. Absolutely no hassles, just good help. The new table arrived, and Overstock made sure the delivery guy opened the package before he left and we botth looked at the table top together. It was in perfect shape. I love this table, it is exactly what I was looking for. Yes, there are imperfections in the wood, but this gives it a lot of character and, yes, it is real reclaimed wood. No splinters on mine. The only thing I'd say is the instructions could have been clearer regarding the hardware to be used. There were some pieces that were no longer included (I assume discontinued), so that sent me to Home Depot but I ended up not using those pieces anyway. I am using this table as a gathering/dining table in my living room space, have decorated it for the Fall, purchased a mix of contemporary and somewhat traditional chairs for seating, and the whole thing looks just beautiful and fits in well with my new urban industrial design!
This a nicely constructed wood pedestal table. It was exactly what we were looking for. We found like tables locally for around $500. So this was a bargain. Delivery was very fast and table was delivered in two boxes damage free. Home Styles does a very nice job of packaging their furniture for the rigors of shipping. The table was very easy to put together. The only con comment I have is to agree with other reviewers that the table top has more of a light reddish cherry color to it versus a browner oak color. It does not distract but is not the browner color you would think oak color would be. We also purchased the matching cottage oak dining chairs.
I returned other tables before because I was looking for good quality on a budget. This table made me so happy. I paired it with mid-century modern chairs in white and it looks perfect. Love that the height is on the lower end, it's perfect for lower dining chairs. Beautiful color, rich brown. Everyone loves it.
This table is AWESOME!!! It's perfect for a smaller kitchen or dinning room. It does look just like the picture in terms of size, however it functions much better with 4 chairs. Assembly was a breeze!!! A child could put it together. I looked at many tables online and at furniture stores from $300-$1000 and this table is a STEAL!!! Buy It!!!
We ordered 2 of these tables 1 for the kitchen and one for the dinning room so that we can put them together to make a very large table. That worked great. Love the legs and live edge, BUT the dark stain is like Paint and you can not see to wood at all! And it is BLACK. So we had to have the top of the table sanded and refinished and it is nice but not what was pictured. I do love these tables but order the lighter color and hope for the best.
It took awhile to receive the table do to its size and weight but worth it. Love love love it! A great value and awesome look. Purchased the 72" table. Definitely you could seat 8 at it. Wanted to purchase something different over the normal dining room tables. Our style is contemporary/modern even though this table is more on the rustic side. Paired it with 4 light cream low back barrel leather chairs and the Crystal Z-lite-4. Put down a stubby metal vase on the table and WOW! Very hip and stylish!! Wasn't sure on the color of the wood when ordering online but it is a nice medium brown with some darker brown markings. Legs are a grayish black metal-very cool but the attraction is the live edge top. I'm a very fussy buyer and I give this 5 stars! Would recommend.
I actually ordered two of these tables to fit in my dining area. I love being able to extend one, both or none of the leaves to fit what I need. When I extend both leaves and place the tables side by side, it looks like one of those big tables that are usually counter or bar height.(I can seat 8 eight if needed) I didn't want a table that high because of my windows in the room being so low. I can drop one leaf on each table and put those together and seat six comfortably. I can extend both leaves and place end to end to have one long and very contemporary table.( I can seat 8 this way too) I love the color and the fact it is solid wood. My only concern is with having my two little ones sit where the leaves extend because they tend to put their weight on it and it is not as sturdy as I would like. That is the only reason I didn't give this five stars.
I was very hesitant to purchase a table online. Without all of the other extremely positive reviews I probably would not have made the purchase. I ordered it on 9/8 and received it on 9/24. It was well protected and wrapped by the shipper and there was absolutely no damage. The table came completely assembled. It has a distressed almost whitewashed look, I matched it with 6 plush gray chairs and it looks like a million bucks in my dining room. Don't hesitate this table is absolutely beautiful and as round tables are hard to find, especially those made of reclaimed wood which is all the rage right now, it probably won't last long. It is heavy and well constructed and I am sure my kids will be fighting over it in 50 years. Thanks overstock!
