  • Nice style, but quality could be better

One of my chairs arrived with the arm coming apart slightly. Was able to glue it back together. Also the finish isn't perfect, a little rough in a few places and the legs don't sit level. I do love the style of the chairs and they serve the purpose as accent chairs for me, but I was expecting better quality.

Needed a bench for the foot of our bed, and one that we could use at the dining room table when extra seating is required. This takes care of both beautifully. What a great buy - as usual - Overstock has never let me down!

  • Perfect for small places!

Love the wood grain look you can see through the black. I bought these to go with an industrial/vintage table and it looks great!

  • Nice looking, but reasonably difficult to assemble

    Dec 17, 2014

I like the look of these chairs because we have a Victorian Second Empire-style house and they are a modernized Empure design that looks nice in the breakfast room. We ordered 4 and two arrived damaged (frame was cracked on one, paint damaged on another). Overstock dealt with the return efficiently. One warning--I'm pretty handy but I found the assembly relatively difficult. There are just a lot of screws (7 per chair) and bolts (8 per chair) to attach and it often involves some awkward positioning. But, they appear to be sturdy and look nice.

The chair was advertised as "ASSEMBLED," but it was not. I routinely buy already-assembled products because I am a widowed senior citizen and it's just easier. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED because I had to get someone to put it together.
