We use this stove often in the winter, even here in northern Florida. Grandkids love to get up in the morn and turn on fire/heat and watch cartoons next to it. At night, it creates a nice cozy mood in the den, and when friends come in from a chilly outside, they back up to it to warm up just like it's a real fireplace! Have had it for 10 years and it's still as good as new.

I love this product. The best part is that it runs extremely quiet which is a plus since I thought it would be noisy. It isn't. I like the size and I plan to purchase another one in the future because of the size it can fit in other rooms and heats really quickly.. THe price is fantastic too.

I wanted a small substitute for a fireplace. I wanted one that would generate some heat, but ambiance was more important. This stove does everything. It is a perfect size to fit beneath a windowsill. It uses ordinary electric service. The top remains cool to the touch so I have placed a lamp atop my stove. The stove has two heat settings (something either not mentioned on-line or else I overlooked this feature). Variable heat settings were something that made me consider a more expensive unit before I purchased this one. I was surprised and pleased by this feature. I was also worried that the 'flame' would look fake. Somehow with the magic of illusion, this little gem creates a realistic looking 'flame' above the logs. The logs glow and are not all that realistic, but the 'flames' are great. I love my Dimplex stove and highly recommend it to anyone in need of a small fireplace substitute.

As soon as this heater arrived we put it in the living room and turned it on. We had snow in San Diego county so it was cold. This heater not only heated the living room, but warned the upstairs as well. My girls did home work sitting on a bean bag and pillows next to the heater. It was a hit in my house. Thanks.

These heaters, which we have THREE, are amazing. So adorable, small and powerful!!! They generate heat for 400 sq feet. We have not turned our oil heater on and don't plan to. You don't realize it, but San Diego can have wet and chilly nights. These heaters just give us the right amount of comfort! Send one to grandma for Valentine's day - she'll love it.

I received the stove in three short days. It was very well protected in its packing.I was able to plug it in, turn it on and enjoy the ambiance, warmth and efficiency.The stove is very quiet. I t raised the heat in my open living room 4 degrees within an hour. It is lightweight therefore very portable and able to be easily moved from room to room in the house. Caution: it does not compare to the heating capabilities of an actual fireplace.It is similar to a portable heater but with ambiance. It is well worth the money I paid for it. I am anxious to see my electric bill to see the actual cost of using it.

I had reservations about ordering something this size from the internet, but I couldn't find one in a local store. It arrived safely, works like a charm and buying it here certainly saved me time. It's not meant to be a main source of heat. We use it on cold days at a cottage to take the chill out. It works fine for this. On really cold days there we also use our gas furnace, but it needs help--this is the help it needs.

It's soooo cute! This is what my daughter kept saying on the video she sent of her new heater! She lives in a very old (not very well insulated) house in upstate New York. She said it really warms the room in addition to looking so cute! She loves it!
