This scale is a great device for counting carbs and calories. Not only has our family found it interesting to weigh certain items and find out the carb, protein, calorie, etc. content, but we've used it for weighing small packages to send through the mail. The ability to remember total carb intake and calorie intake throughout the week is a great feature. It's also handy that the scale has a "tare" function that lets you place a bowl on the scale, hit the "tare" button and the scale then registers zero. You can then add the ingredients to the bowl and weigh the ingredients only, not the bowl. The scale has a memory for around 900 different foods including breakfast cereals, meat, vegetables, etc.

At doctor's orders my husband and I needed to go on a diet and needed to purchase a scale. I researched many on the internet, including Overstock. For the price, this is an excellent scale and does the job.

I looked at a lot of scales. This scale had a lot of extra features but the price was only slightly higher than a scale that just gave the weight. I needed to know the carbs, fats, etc. so this scale is very informative. My favorite features is that you can put any container on the scale before you turn it on and it will zero out so after you turn it on you get just the info. for the food itself, makes clean up easier, just toss your plate into the dishwasher and grab any old plate or bowl for the next measure. My only problem is I find the book with the code numbers a bit awkward, too many diff. sections for everything, and I have to wear "cheaters" to read it. I plan to spend a little time (maybe when I'm a passenger during a car commute) to pull out a list of codes for my most frequently measured foods, then type up my own, larger print list to make it handier. I don't know how long the scale will last, but it appears to be well-made and has a small footprint on the counter. I find it very usefull and with all of the different information it supplies, it is useful for everyone in our household.

I ordered this product because I was trying to watch my caloric and fiber intake. I am very satisfied with this product and I use it at least 2 times a day.Works great and the price was very good.

Great scale. I use multiple times a day to weigh food. Large glass top is easy to clean if needed and it is very accurate. Lots of extra features but I use few of them. Battery power is great as I have few outlets in my kitchen. I highly recommend this scale.

This scale is good for counting calories. My only problem with the scale is that the button for it to convert grams to ounces does not work.

I really enjoy the scale as you can put any size bowl or plate on the top, push the on button and it begins at zero. As you add your food you can see how much you're getting. It also will save your daily calorie intake or you can just check out the calorie of one food item at a time. There are three-digit codes for most food choices.

This scale is excellent and extremely accurate. It has calories, carbs, fats and more, counter built right in to it so no more calculations.

Love it! It's making my diet extremely easy! Actually seeing how many calories are in healthy food is amazing! My calorie in take is very important so the scale is able to clarify how many calories I am consuming at each meal. I've lost 19 lbs in 5 weeks!!

This scale is easy to use, however the directions make it seem a lot more difficult than it is. It does really help with portion control. I'm diabetic and must balance carbs, fat and protein as well as calories. This makes it really easy. Scale looks nice but I don't think it would stand up to my 3yr. old grandson so I don't leave it out on the counter. I like the fact that I can switch from ounces to grams with just a push of a button. I checked all over before buying this one and think it is a really good value.

This scale seems accurate but could be a lot better. The book with codes is made from paper. It tends to get stained and damp. The book itself is very confusing. Nothing is in any kind of order in the book. Words are misspelled. Categories are really confusing to look anything up. Many very common foods have no codes at all and there is no ability to code anything in yourself. I had high hopes, but I think this will be going back. In order to keep an accurate count of nutritional information, I have to keep a separate diary of the things that have no codes along with the ones that do. There are scales that allow your own input of codes as well as have a "coated book" that doesn't wilt when it gets wet.

I am pleased with the scale. I am working on making it a very good tool for a diabetic. Thanks for the opportunity.

This is a very easy to use "right out of the box" scale! It looks attractive on my countertop (so I don't have to drag it in and out of the cabinet). It has many nice features and I paid less for it than more basic ones. Shipping was fast and I'm very pleased with the purchase!

The complimentary batteries did not work, which made me worried from the get-go. But after putting in my own batteries, works fine. Does what it says it will. Great for counting calories. It is a bit of a pain looking up food for the code etc, but it is handy. I have had other scales that looked more sleek and had a more attractive finish. This looks a little klunky due to the fact it is silver colored plastic rather than actual metal. But it functions- and that's all that matters.

This works great and doesn't take up a lot of space. I love it.
