I bought this for a temporary need. The back of the headboard has sticky backed velcro to attach it to the wall, which is fine for the headboard but not for the wall. I had to repair/patch and paint my wall after using this product and the person who slept with this was frustrated often at how the velcro wouldnt' hold and she'd be "attacked" by this headboard in her sleep. I don't know if I'd recommend, or not for anything other than temporary use.

I purchased two Headboards for my Granddaughters Bedroom. They finish off the room and look great. They look like they are padded headboards. Great Value
I've had the twin inflated headboard for about a month now. When I first received and installed it, I wasn't sure what to make of it. The cloth is shinier than what you see in the picture and the two vertical lines don't look straight if you don't inflate the headboard with the right amount of air. However, after having it for a month I am pleased with it. It is VERY comfortable to lean against it while reading and it doesn't look cheap. My friends were impressed as well. I placed the headboard on top of the box spring in between the wall and the matress and that seems to work fine. The only drawback is that it does lose air over time. In one month, I could feel that it lost some air but it didn't look deflated or anything. If you don't mind re-inflating it every now and then, this product will be good for you.
I love this! It is a beautiful pearl white, super easy to inflate and adhere to the wall. I've had no problems with this item. I think that it is an excellent value. I have and will continue to recommend this to my friends.
We bought this for our daughters "big girl bed" headboard, and it works fine. Problem is that we found it hard to keep inflated to its maximum, and it really would look better if it was. Velcro to the wall is also not very secure, but we lowered it behind her mattress to help keep it in place. Price was still really good, so glad we tried it.
I wasn't familiar with the fabric and in the picture it almost looked like microsuede. I ordered 4 of them, 2 for a girls room and 2 for a boys room. I ended up returning the ones for the boys room because the fabric ( satin) lends itself more to a girls room or a more ornate bedroom. Overall they're fine for the price.
I have received many purchases from Overstock and have been very satisfied with each and every one, except THIS one. I bought this headboard for my daughter's room. It was easy to inflate, but once inflated it didn't look very nice. The cover was loose and "billowy", just didn't fit snug. Also, the Ivory color makes it look like a mattress that you leaned up against the wall over your bed. It fell off twice, due to small pieces of Velcro. I'm sending it back, sorry Overstock. This one is just not a keeper.
Can't beat the price for the look! Easy to assemble -- folks don't know it's inflatable until told. Pretty neat!
Nice cream/ivory neutral cover with subtle sheen. Inflated easily after figuring out instructions. Difficult to let air out. I haven't attached it to the wall, just have it resting on the boxspring. Looks nice with box quilted comforter and pillows. Assembled last week and seems to be holding air well.
This is a great alternative and value, it appears like an attached headboard and looks great!
I really like this headboard and it's perfect for my guest room. It also looks quite like I expected it to look, based on the pictures. My problem is that it won't stick to the wall. Even though I followed the directions, the back part of the velcro just won't stay stuck to the wall, so the headboard can slide around -- not ideal. Right now I have it stuffed really tight behind the mattress, so it looks ok when no one is sleeping in it, but I have to figure out a way to get it to stay connected to the wall.
I love this headboard. Easy to assemple and put up. Looks Fabulous! I acutally saw the identical one at Bed Bath and Beyond and the cost was more than double what I paid at Overstock.com. I read a previous review where the velcro didn't stick to the wall, perhaps the wall was too textured. The headboard is actually suposed to rest on top of the mattress for support. There is something called "Gorrilla velcro" if you really need it. I've had mine for 3 months and I love the support it give my back when sitting up in bed.
The appearance of the headboard has a high-end look to it. The assembly is quite easy since it is inflatable and the pump is included. The downside is that the wall attachment is an adhesive hook and loop (velcro) which can sometimes come undone. The way I attached it to the bed was to wedge it behind the mattress since my guest bed has an adjustable bed frame, and it works just fine. This headboard is a great way to furnish a bedroom on a budget.
This was extremely easy to set up. It comes with its own pump - just plug it in and one minute later you are good to go! Easy to hang on the wall with the provided velcro-tape patches...It looks really very nice for the price. I am unable to commit to bedroom furniture at the moment due to looming moves etc - but this is a nice option. It really makes the simple bedframe look like an actual piece of furniture. The "air mattress" element is of very heavy gauge plastic and is ruggedly constructed, and the slipcover is very nicely finished - even seams, no snags or blemishes. I would highly recommend this to those who need a quick and inexpensive headboard option.
I purchased the headboard and when it arrived and I blew it up it looked good and seemed fine. The difficulty lies with it sticking to the wall. It seems to lose air over a short period of time and then the "velcro" backing does not hold it to the wall. if I could find a solution the the velcro ( I added my own, but it too will not stick to either the wall or the headrest) it would be a great invention for an inexpensensive headboard or temporary headboard until I can afford a padded leather King Size, Now it normally sags over the bed. Not a good buy this time around. First time I have been disappointed with an Overstock purchase.
