Wife Loves It
I've had these rubber mats for a few weeks. They seem quite sturdy and should last years. The "diamond" ridges rise above frozen water on the surface, providing the footing we were looking for. You need to attach them to the step - they weren't meant to just sit there. I nailed them down with small stainless steel (to inhibit rust) nails, both on the step and on the front edge where the flap goes over. You could use small stainless flat head screws if you intend to pick the mat up in the future. Be aware that while very functional, they don't pretend to be pretty.
