Not good for long simmering stocks, soups
This pot is a nice size for single people. The crock and lid easily fit in the dishwasher and it doesn't take up that much space on the counter or in the cupboard. I bought it for making bone broth, where I allow the bones and broth to simmer for up to 72 hours. This one doesn't cut it: it starts to leak stock around the rim, dripping into the base where it is baked on and won't wash off. It also hisses and the lid rattles more than the pricier models. I've tried it with different levels of broth and it doesn't matter. It still leaks, rattles and makes a mess. It was cheap enough that I won't return it. But it isn't working for the purpose for which I purchased it.

I received this crock pot and used it straight out the box. It cooked my food very good while I was busy doing something else. I live alone so this is a blessing to be able to cook a small healthy meal for myself without the waste. I could eat off the meal for four days for dinner All features worked very well. The clean up was a breeze. Just took the liner to the dish washer. I use this almost every week. I have cooked various dishes in this crock pot. I think that everyone who has a life and cannot afford to be a "top chef" should get one. I ordered through Overstock because I got a better price and the service at the "O" has always been very good. I would recommend this item to anyone.
