This desk is heavy and beautiful. My husband put it together and he said that the plastic pieces are flimsy. He said the bolts break easily with too much torque so be careful. This desk comes in two boxes and many pieces so be prepared to spend a few hours putting it together. I bought the mahogany finished desk and it is very beautiful.

Assemble this is the place that it is going to be used, because I found that it kind of starts to come apart in some places if you pick it up too much. I did everything right, but some of those cam bolts just would not hold the screws in place. The paint job is terrible (in some places there are small bubbles). It just looks cheap. However, if you can get it assembled, and don't need a fancy desk, than this one is okay. I agree with the one person...I would possibly recommend this to the right person. It is small enough for a small office space, and it does have a lot of features for what it is. So, it's okay, but not what I would call any great value.

This is not a high quality desk. The painted finish on it is pretty poor and there were a couple of minor defects in the wood (mine had a big ding in the edge of the desktop). However, for the price and the organized layout, it'll do. Assembly wasn't too bad, but it is entirely in pictures... no words, which I found a little frustrating at times. The pieces are well labeled and well packaged though. One word of caution... don't screw in the cam bolts too far or they won't lock in place! I said I wouldn't recommend it, but there should be a "maybe" category.... depends on what your needs are! For my small home office that's going to take some abuse, it is just fine. Good luck!

I've been looking for a small, modern desk with a file drawer for several months. Nothing seemed right until now. The desk was delivered in 4 days and in fantastic condition. It took 2 hrs to assemble, and the instructions easy to understand (pictures only). I wasn't sure about the CPU taking up legroom, but it's better than having a pile of equipment sitting around, and the modem and router tuck neatly away. Definitely another great value from Overstock.

Basically happy with the unit. Took forever to install, love the nooks and crannies, some of the laminent/veneer is damaged or peeling but nothing major. NOTE ABOUT GLASS PHONE TRAY on top of desk. Did not install it because my monitor is rather large and to have it centered with seating area it would not quite fit with the glass phone tray thing. IF you do not wish to install it, do not poke the mounting screws through the holes of top of desk! (I did and now I have 3 holes that show where the tray should go).

Great desk. you have to put it together though and its not a one man Job.

I received my desk a week ago. It was shipped quickly and damage free. It took about 2 hrs to put together, but, was well worth the effort! The instructions were easy to follow using a numbered format. This is a beautiful piece of furniture. Very sturdy and solid. I searched for a quality desk that wouldn't break my bank, or fall apart in a couple months. I found all I was looking for and more with this desk! Don't hesitate if you're looking to buy a beautiful piece of furniture that's high in quality! I luv it!

This desk was exactly what I expected from the picture. It is good quality for the price and the color was just like the picture. The multiple shelves and file drawer make it easy to keep thinks organized. Took a while to assemble, but I expected that. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Didn't return the product since it came from the south all the way to the northeast . Not as I expected, the instructions were good. I was disapointed badly manufactured. The lock bolts inserted on the wood are not locking and some were missing. The desk is beautiful but you would need to glue it all together since the locks are not holding at all. I also ordered a mahogamy and received a chocolate in color. Would't recommended at all. I have ordered several times and was very pleased but very dissapointed with this product no quality control on this particular one.

This desk is a good value for the price paid. It arrived on time and all the parts were there. It was relatively easy to assemble and is functional and attractive.

Received the desk and it is beautiful. the color of the wood is dark chocolate brown. It is bigger then I expected so make sure that you measure and have the space for it. Once we had it together we weren't sure if we could move it into the room. Moving it was difficult and it did come apart alittle in the process nothing major and nothing you can see. Nothing was damaged in shipping and came quickly.

Went together well and the instructions are written well; had no problem putting it together, just took longer thatn we thought, but no problems just follow the directions. Well laid out

we bought the desk for our office and needed something large for a small space...it worked out perfect. It's not real wood...it is particle board covered by a laminate, but it looks nice. It took my boyfriend about 2 hours to put together. When I moved the desk the bolts did not seem to be the sturdiest as I could see it pulling apart a little bit, but definitley worth the $*** I payed for it.

You get what you pay! Very cheaply made. Parts to do not hold together well. We bought this for our 10 year old son and we doubt it will last long at all. Very disappointed. Do not buy!

This computer desk was just right for my needs and space. The price was right. Looks very nice too! I had a friend that puts stuff together a lot. He was able to do so easily. When needed to be moved however, he had to brace it with a piece of wood on the back bottom, but that's it. I do recommend this computer desk. Thanks.

For the price this unit is an exceptional value. It has great storage and is made very durable. The design is modern, yet warm. My college student son uses it every day and loves it! There is a place for everything. He uses the desk top for his 32" TV, and there is still room for his laptop, game system, printer, modem, and router. Some spaces are still empty, there is so much room for a compact desk unit.

The damage suffered through shipping is partly excusable but the wood is so cheap that it scratches far too easily. The coating finish was put on AFTER the holes were drilled meaning I had to puncture a lot of the assembly points.This brings me to assembly itself. Very few of the parts actually fit properly (i even stripped some of the screws trying to get it right but to no avail), leaving a loose, rickety structure that RIPPED IN HALF when I tried to move it.I had to fight the urge to take a sledgehammer to it. Despite these problems it LOOKS good - sort of like the shell of a nice car but the engine of a clunker. I would not recommend this product.

Overall I am very pleased with this desk. It is perfect for what I needed it for. It took my boyfriend and I over 5 hours to assemble. The screws were hard to tighten and parts of my desk are not as stable as i would like them to be. But as long as I dont move it, it wont fall apart. Thats pretty much the only downfall. I am very pleased with how functional it is for all my needs.
