Great desk; easy to put together; however, the instructions sometimes were not specific enough. I put the drawer sliders in upside down because the illustration showed them that way. That was the only problem, though; easy to remedy.

To address the bad reviewer--You should have probably deducted from the color and style of this desk that it's not made of hardwood. That said, it is very sturdy and easily put together. The instructions are ok, the parts are all perfectly marked for assembly, the holes are correctly pre-drilled, and everything is well packaged so that it comes undamaged. The various wood pieces are thick and unbending, and even through you construct the drawers yourself, they are quite sturdy. I am very pleased with this desk and recommend it.

I have no idea what the other reviewer was expecting, but this desk is very solid and exactly as pictured. Drawers are even and slide out easily as does the keyboard shelf. My husband had it together quickly! As far as the "cheap plastic" desk top....umm, not sure what the other reviewer meant. It is quite thick and appears very durable. Only thing I can imagine is they were expecting a wooden desk and in the picture it clearly isn't. As long as your expectations are realistic, you will be pleased.
