charliecast from Corpus Christi, TX, Rating:5.0I live in South Texas and its always a toll for the AC to keep up with the humidity. I received this product on Friday afternoon and I have already emptied it 4 times and my AC hasnt kicked on as much. This is the begining of summer and I can already tell this is going to pay for itself in what I will save on my electric bill.

maddyandboomer from Baltimore, MD, Rating:5.0I was really stunned how much water it pulls....It is not quietest dehumidifier I have ever had but I would not say it is noisy either.....I am very impressed and may get another one

installed from Woodlands, TX, Rating:1.0We had a small water leak in the basement. Bought this to help with the mop up. It barely got the humidity down, ran it for 2 weeks straight and got no more than 30-35 pints a day even while there was water all around the unit. all surrounding conditions were normal. It's also one ugly looking product. I called the manufacturer edgestar hoping to fix any problems and was basically told to return the unit if I was too happy with it. sounds like they're quite aware of this problem.

elelonek from Indiana, Rating:4.0Excellent fairly quiet dehumidifier. The only problem is that although it can take out 40 pints in 24 hours, the bin to collect the water doesn't even hold 1/4 of that 40 pints - which means if you have a very wet problem you will have to empty the bin several times a day.

zetaosig from Knoxville TN, Rating:4.0I needed an upgrade from a 30 pint dehumidifier for our large (>2000 sqft) unfinished basement. This unit from LG really pulls out the moisture. It does not seem to be abnormally loud when compared to other units I have had, although I do not use it in a living area. Built in hygrometer can be off by as much as 10 points when compared to another hand held unit nearby. That said, the unit seems to cycle on and off as it should and keeps the under 50% humidity I am looking for. I hooked it into a condensate pump with a garden hose easily and with no leaks. No performance issues so far and after a month of use, I would recommend it. It is a nice looking unit as well.
