  Saw the picture and loved the chest when I saw it online but wasn't sure of the color. There was only one other review that stated it looks like a mustard color and it does! Had some reservations but purchased it anyway. Took some stain (Special Walnut) and decided to darken the chest. What a great decision because it toned the color down and now it looks like a medium oak color and I love it!

  I planned for this trunk to hold blankets in my second bedroom. When I started filling it I was astonished at how much it holds. I have at last 6 full size blankets in there an it closes perfectly. The front is antique looking with leather belts . The entire piece has nail head studs giving it a vintage look. The top has a checkerboard pattern which is fine and, again, lends to the vintage look. It's a fun trunk that could be used as a coffee table with extra storage. Good price too.
