This is a beautiful desk. However its more decorative than functional...The quality is not that great and mine came actually broken. The damage was not visible on the outside and I really loved how it looked, so I kept it...We don't really use it as a writing desk as its quite flimsy....But I wanted this piece to fill a niche in my room and its perfect for that.....I've had several ppl comment on how nice it looks....

Beautiful desk that is generally well constructed. A screw on one of the desk leg was a little too short so it would not screw in as tightly as the others, but otherwise it was OK!

The desk packs a lot of punch for its cost and size,. I am thrilled with my purchase and think I got a good exchange for the money I paid. It sits near my front door and it is where we store our mail that has not been opened. Very pretty. It is the first thing I see when I open my front door and walk in from the outside. GOOD DEAL!

I was looking forward to this as a space saver christmas present. I thought it was attractive, priced nicely and was pleased with the other reviews I read. The product arrived timely and the package was in good condition. The item was almost fully assembled and packaged well. However, upon opening the desk the inside floor of the writing portion was badly broken and chipped apart. I'm currently in the process of returns to overstock.com.

Well... It is just a couple of hundred bucks, so it cannot be of a good quality. The upper drawer tends to fall off the sliders, which are not deep enough and in the filing drawer the file sliders need to be fixed lower, so that the file tabs do not keep scratching at the top rail. Nonetheless, functionally and size-wise this is the best solution for my small office.

I was very pleased with then entire experience. The purchase was easy, the desk arrived quickly and in perfect shape. I am more than happy with the condition and appearance of this desk. It is just right for the need, and i am more than pleased with the price. Great value for the money. It was fully assembled, all i had to do was screw in the feet!

It's as beautiful in my home as in the photo. It arrived in good condition and I was delighted there was no assembly other than screwing on the feet. The only disappointing factor for me was that it is tiny and seems like toy sized furniture. The measurements are listed though so it is my fault for not realizing how small it was.

This is my first purchase from Overstock.com. I have been looking for this for quite some time. It is absolutely beautiful! It was delivered very fast, and it arrived in excellent condition. It requires minimum assembly. One of the legs wold not screw in and I had to use glue but I am very satisfied with the product. I will definitely recommend it.

When I recd my desk I was so pleased with the appearance. It was easy to assemble. I did it with no help from my husband. It looks beautiful with my bedrm furnture and my laptop fits perfectly in the top drawer. I love it.

The material is pretty cheap and the legs which is the only thing that needed to be installed did not fit. I would not recommend this product and hope you spend your money on something better.

I needed a very small desk to put into an alcove not much bigger than many modern walk-in closets. I hoped this desk would do the trick and when it arrived I was not disappointed. It is well made for the money and is decently solid, though my particular desk had a few tiny nicks and minor discolorations. Nothing too noticeable and certainly not enough to return it. It came well packed and was delivered lightning quick. The fold out platform is large enough to hold a standard laptop, but my husband pointed out there were no ports/holes for cords and such....though the old fashioned feel of the desk is more suited for letter writing and basic paper goods storage than to function for modern computing needs. And remember, this thing is small so definitely pay attention to the dimensions so that you're not in for a surprise. Would not recommend for daily use to anyone especially tall or if you need a piece of furniture to take up a large chunk of space. It's dainty, somewhat feminine, and blends in well with my antique furniture. This is a 'knock-off' to Grandma's secretary desk in the best possible way. Assembly is a breeze, though screwing on 4 round legs hardly merits true 'assembly'. Overstock has this priced appropriately and I'd recommend buying with confidence.

This is attractive chest but too short. I took the inside shelves and put it on top of the chest. It added at least 12". I filled the shelves with small antique books and other antique looking items. I am not happy that one of the bottom round knobs is missing on the drawer of the chest. I am not sure what to do about it as I do not want the hassle of returning this one and ordering another for the missing knob.I do think you will be pleased with this chest, but remember it is only 40" plus 3 or 4 inchs for the small feet you screw on...easy to do.

The desk is absolutely Gorgeious. I have been looking for one like this for about a year. The size is perfect , the price was great. I have had lots of complements on it since the first day I got it. Beautiful desk. I love it.

We received the desk in no time at all. No damage to the box or the desk. My husband who is a carpenter said it was a good value. He was impressed that it was not fiberboard but real wood. The design was good and it looks good too.We had been looking for a desk for a small cubby in our bed room and this fit perfectly.I will be a "overstock.com" customer again.

I received my shippment in a very short timeframe, however the box was severely damaged. I was pleased to find out that the packaging had saved the exterior surfaces of this desk from damage, however a crack was discovered in the draw interior. It was so easy to assemble. Basically just screw on 4 leg fixtures and your done. No tools needed. This pieces looks very elegant and has nice storage for it's smaller size. Great for smaller locations. I love the carvings and solid dark cherry wood..
