This sconce is everything the description says it is. When I put it on the wall, it filled the entire room with a sense of elegance. You can display it with silk or fresh flowers. It is a gorgeous piece and nicely crafted. You won't regret it. Just one small catch was that there is only one area in which to mount it and I had a hard time having it lay flat against the wall since it has twigs all around. The glass vase is also very delicate so handle that with care. But overall a good buy and would certainly recommend it to a friend.

The vase is elegant. If you have transitional contemporary furnishings, this vase really perks up any corner in the room. It is the perfect height and width to fill in unwanted wall space. I understand the need to put something in the vase to give it a more finished look but the birch branches that come with the vase are not a good choice. They are sparse and don't complement the drama of the vase.

I bought this peony wreath to hang on the wall in the hallway of my new home. I already had a peony floral arrangement in a vase from the same collection (it is also available on Overstock) and it now adorns the little end table I have in the hallway -- both the wreath and the floral arrangement are so beautiful - the colors are rich and vibrant, the quality is very good, one can tell of course that these are artificial flowers, but they are as close to real life as artificial flowers can get. Very beautiful! I have received many compliments on both the wreath and the peony floral arrangement. Thank you, Overstock, for these 2 great products!

The vase is really small -- could be used for 2-4 stems of roses. Or for single flowers --- looks good when the red anthurium is in against my orange walls. It slants to a side --- and ofcourse i tried wrestling with it to straighten out - No use.... Doesnt stand flat.... Bad buy for me....

Love it, love it. And everyone that has seen it has commented on how nice it looks. Mounted over my mantel, but this piece could go anywhere. Kitchen, bedroom, living room. The small bowls will actually allow you to put flower pedals in them. I bought some fake ones in my color pallete, but you could use real and change them every couple of days. The "vase" would hold a single flower. I decided to not use the mounting screws that come with it, and instead used nails in all 3 brackets. This sits away from the wall a bit because of the mounting system, but I think it actually adds appeal to the piece because it adds "depth". Buy it. You won't be sorry.

I bought this product because I moved into a house that has an odd shaped built in shelf in the wall an just needed something simple and pretty to fill the area. I ordered this iteam (that matches my decor perfectly) and was pleasantly surprised by the look of the vase for the price that I paid! I filled it wil rocks and put bright red flowers in it and I have received numerous complements! The vase is slightly more angled then it shows in the picture but it works great for its purpose

This piece was very easy to assemble and looks gorgeous! Such a unique piece and adds a special touch to our mantle and also fills in a good amount of wall space.

I painted an accent wall a dark reddish color and was looking for accent pieces to add to bring out the color. The color of this vase is very nice and matches perfectly, and from a distance the vase looks very substantial, but up close it is very light weight and wobbly even with the sand inside the vase. I was surprised by the cheap foam you had to insert at the top of the vase to orgganize the flowers. Once staged and off to the side it is pretty and we get a lot of compliments, just don't let company examine it to closely. LOL

I bought one of these (I thought) for rooting cuttings in my kitchen window, but inadvertently I ordered two by adding it to my cart twice and not paying enough attention in the order process... My own fault completely. But guess what? I absolutely love them! They're beautiful. No one can make me send one back. No one. Ever. Like Jefferson's serpentine brick wall at UVa, they're more stable when curved, and of course even more so when curved in both directions. What I like best about them is their simplicity. They'd enhance just about any design style, because whatever you put into them becomes the star. I also like how little room they take up on the windowsill, compared to a collection of vases or jars or water glasses. I'd actually thought of getting a rack of test tubes, but these actually take up less room and are waaaay more attractive. They were packed extremely well, with the tubes nestled individually in a large-ish styrofoam pack. I couldn't be more pleased.

I needed a piece for a wall in a Victorian Master Bath. The wallpaper is quite beautiful, so i didn't want anything to compete with that. The Amphora Vase is perfect!

I order two of the 30 inch floor vases on April 1st; they were delivered April 2nd. The branches do look like the picture. I have not tried to wet and shape them yet. The vase it self is a little disappointing. You can see bulges where the nails are. I'm hiding the ugly side by the wall. I like what it did for my dining room.

The vase arrived so carefully packaged, three boxes within in each other, surrounded by paper wrapping, bubble wrap & shipping popcorn, that it took me and my daughter 15 minutes to get it out. The box was huge! The vase is stunning. The ooh's and aah's started immediately, even before we inserted the branches. The color is gorgeous, a merlot wine color against my sycamore colored walls. I could not find any flaws in the finish nor balance of the vase, superior craftsmanship.

Gave this as a gift along with a metal wall art piece & another vase of bamboo to my brother & sis-in-law. Really nice accents for any room that has natural tones or if you want to make a statement. This vase was impeccably packaged - so much so I couldn't peek before I gave it. :) Really happy with this one.... some commented on how dark it was, but I saw no issue with it. It is a deep red that fades into an almost black-ish brown with texture. It is made of wood so there will be variations. I thought it was beautiful!

We received the two vases very quickly - in fact they came a day or so earlier than expected. They were very well packaged and arrived safely. The workmanship is good and they are sturdy. We did not receive any sand packages to stabilize the bases, but as it turns out, we didn't need them. The top portion of the vase is gold, and it is very shiny. The bottom section is lacquered and also very pretty, but if the vase was all gold, or all brown - it wouldn't be as striking. I must comment about the packaging. Since they are packed so well in order to keep them safe in transit - there are also tons of Styrofoam peanuts in each box - and they can be very, very messy! Follow the instructions that are included so you can get the large vases out of the boxes without damaging them. We followed the instructions and we were still picking up little pieces of Styrofoam for a week or so afterward. If you can possibly open the boxes outside, it might be a good idea to do so. Each vase comes with branches of the manufacturer's choice. Ours contained brown branches - which worked well for us. There is also a block of green foam and a bit of moss to use at the vase opening. I used neither of those items, and simply stuck the branches into the narrow vase opening and fanned them out. Our vases are up on shelves, so no one will be looking into the vase. If you use them as floor vases, and want a great deal of height - you may want to put the branches into the green Styrofoam wedge, which you'll need to carve down to the proper size and cover the opening with moss. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase and the vases are a dramatic addition to our new media wall. I would definitely recommend them.

Such a simple and clever idea, and I am a bit surprised how much I love this thing! We have two small condos, one in Milwaukee and one in Palm Springs, and I have this on a wall in our PS master bedroom. I love being able to put a small bunch of fresh flowers in it to brighten the room when we arrive, and yet it does not take up any valuable tabletop space, which is limited. It is beautiful all by itself, and looks very cool with flowers... I love it so much I am ordering a second one for our master bedroom wall in Milwaukee. It has a vintage, somewhat arts and crafts look to it, and blends nicely with our eclectic, transitional decor. The glass is very solid and heavy, and the metal bracket looks like forged iron, although it seems a tad on the thin, flimsy side when you handle it... but so far (over a year) have not had any issues with it.

These vases are beautiful, heavy clear glass, and the iron sconce is also heavy, so be careful when hanging on the wall that you use proper tools and materials to support the weight....but other than being heavy (and that's not a negative), they are quite impressive ~ everything and more that I hoped they would be from the online photos.

I redid my dining room, and was looking for a large piece of "wraught iron" artwork for the wall. I found several pieces that I considered, but settled on this circular piece for its color and 3-D qualities in addition to its size and "wraught iron" look. The piece came to me with minor scratches on one bowl and the vase; at first I was disappointed and considered returning it, but the piece is beautiful overall and I decided to hang it. The flaws are minor, but should not have been there. However, it looks fabulous on my wall and set the perfect mood in my new dining room. Comparing this piece to other choices I had, and considering the VERY reasonable price for this piece in comparison to my other options, I am most satisfied with my final decision. I will continue to shop at Overstock.com after this experience. Delivery time (and rate) was superb!

Okay, It's a little after 12:00 a.m. and I have just finished unpacking my two vases that I ordered. First, I must say that the vases were packed quite well. They were shipped UPS Ground and arrived within the week I wouldn't worry though, each vase is in three boxes...very well protected. The vases are light. They are not heavy ceramic or anything. You don't have to rip down the boxes or be strong to pull the vase right out of the box. They are big vases as represented in the picture but not too overwhelming. Each vase comes with two bags of sand, a foam block, branches, stem leaves, and matching moss (all fake of course). It took me about 10 minutes to place the block and insert all the branches, stems and moss for each single vase. I am placing mine in the dining room against the main wall. I have a piece of canvas art that I need to get framed that these will accent nice. I might even decide to place a mirror in between. I think now I can actually decide what color to paint the wall itself. I had been looking at these for a few weeks and finally decided to get them. So far I am pleased. They are light so some extra rocks would be in order if you are placing them in a high traffic area. I think most people will buy two for that look of symetry.

Needed a mirror to replace the old glued on one I removed in a bathroom renovation. It's a little smaller than I would have liked but rather than pay to have a custom mirror cut and framed, I spent just over a humdred bucks on this. Fantastic value and I LOVE that it doesn't have to be glued to the wall. It hangs like a picture frame. I put 1 candle and a small bud vase, filled with 2 stalks of lucky bamboo, on the shelf.

Decorating a bare wall may seem like an easy task, but the fact is an empty canvas sometimes intimidates would-be decorators. The key to making a bare wall into the focal point of a room is the right decorative accessories. Turn your bare wall into a pleasing backdrop or an extension of a decor theme in the room. A bare wall can also feature decorative accessories that blend form and function, such as lighting, floating shelves or a mirror.
Depending on how you choose to decorate your indoor fireplace mantel, it can be the room's focal point or an extension of an already established theme. The only thing that can make indoor fireplaces more warm and welcoming is the right decorative accessories along the mantelpiece. Plan your fireplace decor carefully because there are a few common decorating traps when it comes to mantels. Some people crowd the mantel with too many small pieces, while others resort to symmetrical arrangements of objects all the same height. Think about your mantel as a gallery with the potential for rotating exhibits.
A ladder shelf is an innovative design that allows you to display decorative accessories and knickknacks in a sleek and modern fashion. Many shelves feature five tiers, with the shelves consistently getting larger toward the bottom. Use a ladder bookshelf to display accent pieces or decor in any room of the house. Many people give their decorative accessories a place to shine by putting them on niches, cupboards, and shelves. However, they may overlook one of the ideal spots for showcasing their favorite decorative accessories: the top of a bookshelf. Whether it's a tall corner shelf or a lower modular piece, the surface on top of a bookshelf offers a flat area to arrange art, vases, framed photos, baskets, statues, and sculptures.
Kwanzaa is meant to be celebrated with family and friends as a way to honor the past and look forward to the future. One important part of celebrating Kwanzaa is decorating the home with traditional seasonal decor. Kwanzaa holiday decor incorporates traditional symbols of African American heritage, both old and new. For example, a kinara symbolizes the African American past, present and future while authentic African folk art is displayed to honor African American roots. Tribal masks, hand-carved statues and wooden fruit bowls from Ghana and other areas of historical significance throughout Africa are often displayed as meaningful decorative accessories during the holiday season as well as home decor all year round.

Midcentury modern refers to the time period between 1930 and 1965 when designers and architects began focusing on simple yet creative design. It was during this period that famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright experimented with organic architecture, building some of his most well-known homes and using scenery to inspire innovative designs. Some of the most recognizable furniture was also designed during this time period. From the Eames lounge chair to the slender tulip chair, the midcentury movement produced pieces that are still staples in modern homes. To get the midcentury look in your own home, use simple pieces of furniture combined with these essential decorative accessories.
