The set is elegant, you can use it for everyday dining and also for "elegant casual" occasions when your grandmother's silver would be an overkill. It has a certain weight that makes it classier than other items of greater price. It cleans well in the dishwasher, with no spots. It is shinier than I would have liked, but still very nice. Overall, an excellent choice and unbeatable value for the quality

This is a beautiful set of stainless for everyday use. It is heavy and seems to be well made. I like the balanced feel of the utensils. Have put them all in the dishwasher and comes out looking great. I think the size is good, salad fork is not too small. it is a contemporary design, goes with all patterns of dinnerware.
My son needed a flatware set for his college apartment. This set looked masculine enough and as a Flash Deal, it was a good deal. The actual silverware is on the light side, but at the price and considering its use, I would have kept it. But to have every piece stamped on the back “made in China”? No, thank you. Back it goes.
I was looking for flatware with some heft to replace lightweight stuff we've been using for decades. I like a tool with some substance to it. The David Shaw Georgia was exactly what I wanted. Simple, yet pleasing design. Makes me smile.
Very good looking flatware with nice heft. ONLY complaint is the large spoon is really big - it looks almost like a serving spoon. Don't know why but in looking for new flatware, I've found that unfortunately that seems to be the trend these days...

Hello, shootingstars2011. Yes, Splendide is the name of the model of this David Shaw silverware, so that is why it is marked as such. Thank you for shopping with us, and have a great day.overstockcustomercare1 on Dec 27, 2013
