We received this furniture in about a week - several boxes. The wood is SOLID and the pieces are nice and sturdy. Assembly took several hours for three pieces (we purchased the dresser and bed frame as well) but the directions were simple. Only comment would be to have the pieces labeled in the diagrams, but there were ample fasteners and screws. The nightstands are big, more like mini dressers with three drawers. Looks great, though. Happy enough that we're considering the taller dresser as well. Color is a 'cherry walnut' - dark, but not too red. Thanks Overstock!!

The nightstand is sturdy and surprisingly heavy. All in all, it's a decent value, and looks good beside one my beds. The other reviews are generally accurate, and so I can only add 2 points.First, I am unhappy with the drawer glides. Specifically, they do not operate smoothly, and actually seem to jam if pulled to either side. To actually get any drawer to fully slide all the way out, you must carefully pull them straight out.Some of reviewers mentioned that they had problems with the glides, while others said that the drawers slid quite smoothly. My experience is that they slide in a rather disjointed fashion, and not at all smoothly. (And yes, I did read and follow the assembly instructions faithfully, so I'm certain the stand is assembled correctly.)Second, and this is the biggest problem, Overstock has transposed the height and width dimensions. I selected this item largely because I wanted a rather low, elongated nightstand that did not extend above the sill of a bedroom window, and so it seemed perfect at the LISTED size (as of 10/13/2009 the Overstock web site still states "Dimensions: 25.4 in. H x 29.2 in. W x 18.9 in. D").Now that the ACTUAL size is 25.4 in. W x 29.2 in. H x 18.9 in. D, it looks less than perfect, although it's a decent stand at a decent price. I'm not saying it looks bad or is flimsy, it's just not what I thought I was ordering, and so I'm giving it a "solid" 3 overall!

Very solid nightstand and the price is right! The back of stand is exactly as described in other reviews, two pieces of wood held together with packaging tape. However, it is not a big deal as the tape side goes on the inside of the nightstand so its not visible. The drawers are shallow for those who can't tell from the photo, but if you fold you clothes and don't stuff things in, it will fit everything you want. The assembly is easy, just take your time and follow the instructions. Drawers slide in and out smoothly. Sturdy piece of furniture, very happy with the product! It is heavy (75lbs +) as its made out of real wood, which is a huge plus.

I purchased two night tables for my guest bedroom. For what I will be using them for the value was great. For my own bedroom, I would prefer something a little more solid. The night table was made of good wood until I got to the piece that was for the back. It was two very thin pieces of plywood that were held together by a piece of packing tape,( the kind with strings for reinforcement.) Until I saw that I was very happy with the product. It was easy to put together however I would have preferred that quality materials were used for the whole night table.

I bought this with the Milton Chestnut bed. They are a very close match. You can barely notice the difference in color. I assembled it by myself and it was fairly easy. Make sure you have a rubber mallet for the job. It's a great night stand. The top drawer doesn't slide out as easily as the other 2, but that's probably due to my assembly. No big deal. Overall, I love the night stand and hopefully I will have the dresser assembled soon. I definitely recommend the Dannette.

Bought 2 of these nightstand with the tribeca bed. They are beautiful together.. I put them together in a few hours by myself and they are very nice. Certainly look alot more expensive than they were. Highly recommended. Susan

We bought two of these nightstands because the style and color appeared to match our existing bedroom furniture. They are, in fact, an excellent match, and our bedroom now has a completed look. The night stands were easy to assemble - lots of parts/pieces arrived in one box, but well labeled and not complicated. They are solid and beautiful - you will not be sorry!

Very impressed with the quality of the nightstand. It took me about 4 hours to put it together though. About half way through, I realized that one of the pieces did not have holes cut for the dowel, so I had to spend about an hour finding the right size drill bit and drilling holes at the correct location and depth. Not a big deal, but I would have been in trouble if I didn't have a drill and assortment of bits.I also ordered the 6 drawer dresser, but haven't put it together yet. I need a break after putting this one together!I definitely recommend using an electric screwdriver as there are about 40-50 screws you have to put in.

I was questioning whether or not to buy this piece, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality! This is a beautifully crafted bedroom ensemble; however, it took my boyfriend and I several (4-5) hours to put a 5 drawer chest and nightstands together. I suggest you start by laying the parts in ABC order then start your assembly. The directions are confusing but once everything is put together the piece is heavy and quite sturdy. The dark wood is a rich almost ebony color...the decorative pulls make the piece look expensive and classy....5 STARS ++++

I bought one nightstand and had planned to use another table as well. I loved the look of this one so much I ordered another one to match. They go great with the Danielle bed. The wood is a dark walnut/cherry color with beautiful grain. It takes a little time and skill to assemble but well worth it. Can't beat the price. Most I looked at were at least twice the price. What you see on the picture is exactly what you get. Thanks Overstock for another great find.

I love the nightstands. I searched all over for a good price while not wanting to give up style or quality. This was defintely the right choice. The color is just as shown and they are very sturdy. Rubberwood is a great looking wood. You get a great quality product at an affordable price. I would buy these again without hesitation. They look wonderful. I purchased two and they were essy to assemble.
