bamboo shades
The quality and the price of these are great, but I wasn't able to see the open weave in the photograph and the light comes in. It is almost dizzying to look at this when it is pulled down for shade. It would never work in a bedroom, or for privacy, but it is OK if you just want a window cover.

Good blinds for price
These are good blinds for the price. The color and style was as described. The strings are on the long side and the cleats that come with them are the standard really cheap looking variety. I simply ordered some nice brass ones for a couple bucks each elsewhere and that solved the problem though. The only complaint I would have, which is not much of one is that there are these little side panels presumably to cover up the exposed wood on the sides of the valance. There are no instructions on how to put these up and my husband and I couldn't really figure out how they went up. I can probably figure it out, but would have preferred some simple instructions so I don't have to research.
