i bought these bamboo shades for my living room and dining/kitchen. i LOVE THEM! they look great! they are a great color, match with prob any decor color or wood tones you have in your house. mine are expresso brown, tan, and gray/blue and it goes perfect. the instructions with the shades were wierd so we didnt even use them. we use common sense and put them up. they come with 2 pieces of bamboo stripes per shade to cover the bracket if you do inside window mount like we did. so dont through them away the cover the bracket and look good. they arent for privacy so if that what you are looking for bamboo blinds in general arent the way to go. you can see right through them day and night. i paired the shade with 2 shear panels because privacy isnt a huge factor to use in the kitchen and living room. i love that the light comes throught them. they really add a texture to your space and a nice modern natural feeling in the room. so if your look for bamboo shades that match everything at a good price, i recommend these:)

These shades were very easy to put up. I liked the fact that if you didn't place the brackets in exactly the right place on the window (outside mount) the shades could still be moved left or right so that they are centered on the window. The color is a little more of an orangey/brown than what is shown in the picture. That is my only complaint or else I would have given them 5 stars. The blinds also came with extra strips of the bamboo shade that are about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. I didn't know what to do with these and the directions do not say what they're for. Does anyone else know?

We purchased these blinds for 5 windows in our bedroom. Because the window frames are old and original to the house, they are very shallow. These blinds are great because they can be manipulated so that they fit right against the window frame... they look perfect! I read many of the comments before purchasing and while they do let in a little light in the morning, we like that. And they definitely offer plenty of privacy. Great purchase and extremely easy to install!

These bamboo blinds are a terrific value - good quality, smooth operation of the raising/lowering mechanism, good light-blocking capability. The inside mount installation was not so easy because getting the screws into the holes on the brackets required a difficult angle - but that's not unique to these shades. I have other bamboo shades in my house that are much heavier and more difficult to raise and lower. You can't beat these for the price!

We got these for our living room. We live in an old house (1920's) with windows that are not standard size. We could never find the right size in our local 'big box' stores. We looked into custom blinds but they were so outrageously expensive we passed. Then we found these at Overstock! These blinds come in tons of widths. They fit our windows perfectly - - - they look custom! They are very rich-looking. A Great Buy for the price. We are thrilled with these! They let the light in beautifully! Now I want them for other rooms in our home!

I purchased these shades for my grown son's room. They are GORGEOUS and look like they cost much more than they do. I can't wait for my friends to see them, I'm sure they'll love them too. I measured incorrectly for one window and didn't take into account a skinny trim piece of the window molding. I didn't want to return/pay a fee/reorder, so I chiseled off a tiny bit of the frame (the blinds fit fine, it was the frame that was a teeny bit too wide) and hung them. Even though I know the mounting isn't 100% perfect, they LOOK 100% perfect. I'm ordering more of the same for another room and will order other variations for other rooms (new house). GREAT value. They look much more costly. Also, the shipping was amazing. I ordered on Tuesday, they were on my stoop on Thursday afternoon. Get these!

These blinds are great! They hang in my office and let in a little filtered light, which is what I was looking for. I put them up, by myself, in an hour. A pencil, screwdriver and drill are the only tools needed. The price was what first attracted me. I had 4 windows to cover and didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars. Also, there were 3 or 4 colors to choose from, which was a plus. I would recommend these blinds to a friend!

I bought two of the roman shades for the kitchen windows. Both fit well, have a nice color, and nice texture in the bamboo. They let in more light than I expected but that wasn't a negative for me. The only negative is that I can (barely) see a little bit of the bracket used for hanging. It could be that the framing around my window is shallow. My husband says he doesn't even notice, and I am super-picky. This would not, however, deter me from buying more for the other rooms in my house.
