Functional and Comfy, well designed
We received the toddler bed in mid-December (peak time for pre-xmas delivery) and it arrived damaged - a large crack along the headboard. Maybe the time of year contributed to the damage during shipping? But Overstock customer service was very accomodating in getting a new bed shipped right away. It's different than other toddler beds in that it comes with 2 safety rails, and you can easily install one or both depending on your preference. When both are installed, the rail runs completely alongside the bed, thus protecting our 2.5 yrs old from falls. But it's short enough that she can crawl in/out easily when she wants to get up. Materials: pine wood is soft, so just be aware it can break or crack under too much pressure. But overall a sturdy and comfy bed. I sat in it with her (160 lbs between us) and it was fine. Would recommend it.
