Thought this toddler bed was a good value. You can use the sides when child grows for head board and foot board. Used for grandson. A little difficult putting together but did it by myself.Read More
We received the toddler bed in mid-December (peak time for pre-xmas delivery) and it arrived damaged - a large crack along the headboard. Maybe the time of year contributed to the damage during shipping? But Overstock customer service was very accomodating in getting a new bed shipped right away. It's different than other toddler beds in that it comes with 2 safety rails, and you can easily install one or both depending on your preference. When both are installed, the rail runs completely alongside the bed, thus protecting our 2.5 yrs old from falls. But it's short enough that she can crawl in/out easily when she wants to get up. Materials: pine wood is soft, so just be aware it can break or crack under too much pressure. But overall a sturdy and comfy bed. I sat in it with her (160 lbs between us) and it was fine. Would recommend it.Read More

Does this fit a twin size mattress without a conversion rail? What does the conversion rail do? To fit a full size mattress? How much does a conversion rail cost?
Twin Mattress Size (Single) is 39 inches x 75 inches versus the crib mattress that is 28 inches x 52 inches. The dimensions of this bed frame are 30 inches deep x 55.625 inches wide. The conversion rail would extend the dimensions to fit the appropriate mattress sizes. The bed rails vary in price depending on what size you will be extending to.
