DaVinci Chloe Cradle

I bought this cradle for our baby (due this coming August) as I don't like the look of the Moses baskets and was worried about the security and safety issues inherent in buying a folding bassinet or one with separate stand. I wanted something for the baby's first few months before going into a full sized crib/cot that has clean lines without being overly modern. I like the idea of a rocker rather than a glider as had read in reviews of other products that the motion is not as soothing to the infant. The mattress is very thin, but as it comes included I can hardly complain and am happy to buy something a little thicker as the baby grows. Yes, the headboard and floorboard are made of pressed wood, but the price is reasonable and it has a few months to air in the nursery to be before the baby arrives and is moved into our bedroom. There is no noticable smell of of paint, I just wanted to be on the safe side. My husband built the cradle in under half an hour and and he is hardly facile with DIY. I am extremely happy with this product and am thinking about buying one for my best friend who is two months behind me in her pregnancy.
