DaVinci Bella Changer Chest in Cherry

I did like the color and layout of the dresser, so I called after finding two damaged pieces and they said they would ship me new ones at no charge (I just had to supply the VIN and order #). I did not have to send the damaged pieces back so that was nice! I am still waiting for the new pieces....then I will post again=)

• How accurate was the on site description of the product? The dresser was shorter than I thought it would be and I am tall so I hope it will not hurt my back when I lean to change the baby after she arrives.

This is a very nice piece of furniture. The solid wood makes it really sturdy and solid. Although it had many pieces to assemble, my husband said it was really easy to assemble overall. The instructions were clear and the all the pieces fit together. The drawers glide easily and the door closes properly. It is the perfect size dresser for my toddler's room.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. It's a very nice piece of solid wood furniture that should last years.

I was looking for a less expensive espresso changer/dresser to go with a high quality convertible crib I bought at a reputable baby furniture store. I just could not imagine spending $600-700 on a dresser when it isn't something the baby will be on without supervision of course. We were nicely impressed with the sturdiness of the wood construction (not particle board). The only complaint is when my husband put it together there was a slight crack in the wood, luckily it was for a panel that faced the back of the dresser. This could have been damaged during delivery and luckily you cannot see it at all.

The dresser arrived damaged - but then all things we receive via UPS seem to be crushed, dropped, etc lately. Only one (vital) piece was damaged, so we used wood glue and clamps to repair the piece, rather than deal with the hassle of returning the item. The dresser looks nice, and is functional for a baby's room, though the size means we'll replace it with something more small child appropriate in a few years. The directions are a bit of challenge at times (and because of our broken piece, which was a primary piece), but once you get the hang of their drawings, it went pretty smoothly.
