DELONGHI kMix PUMP ESPRESSO WHITE

I've had this espresso machine a little less than a week, after pulling a few shots and experimenting with how much pressure to use when tampering it's produced coffee bar quality espresso. I would recommend using the larger filter, tamper coffee 3 times and slightly turn tamper each time while pressing down to get adequate pressure. Pull shots using two 2oz shot glasses, stop pulling when each shot glass is 1/3 full for best results. I was very surprised by the quality I was able to get out of this little machine and I am a self professed "coffee snob". A great deal, nice modern design, no problems with machine so far.

After reading numerous reviews on espresso machines that won't leave me completely broke, I settled on this one. I've never had one before, but I would like to transition making my cappucinos and latte's at home, so I got this one for my birthday. After using it a couple of time, I remembered what the other reviewer said..that hers leaked from the bottom, so I thought I'd check. Sure as can be, there was a puddle of water underneath! Our granite is so colorful, I didn't notice anything and wouldn't even have checked if it wasn't for the previous reviewer. Overstock was overly gracious as always, and promised to send me a replacement immediately. I packed this one up and returned it, no hassle. What are the chances of two white ones having the same problem?? I figure the next one should be good. If it's not, you'll hear from me again, and then I'll have to avoide Delonghi like the plague :-) All in all, I'm giving this one a good review..I enjoy how easy it is to work with, it's cute as a button...I did find out that foaming milk is not as simple as I thought, there's a little bit of a technique, but some youtube videos steered me in the right direction. I look forward to receiving my repacement, as it's spot on the kitchen counter is looking awfully empty at the moment :-(

Beautiful product, but leaks water every time I tried to make coffee. The leaking came from a hole on the bottom of the appliance.
