  The product is a beautiful maple chopping block that is the best chopping block I've ever had. It arrived in perfect condition, and after seasoning it 4 times it just wipes off clean. Since we cook gourmet food every night, it is large enough to have different vegetables and herbs in sectors on the chopping block at the same time. I love it!

  This cutting board is huge and very heavy. It is beautiful and beautifully made - but it is the kind of board that you need a permanent place for where it will fit in with the decor. It is not light enough to just whip out of a drawer. I wouldn't get this if you have a small kitchen as it may look out of place. I also wouldn't permanently place it in an area where the counter can get wet (such as right next to a sink) since there are no "feet" and it wouldn't do well in any standing water. I'd like to see them offer a raised heavy duty rack for this.

  This very thick and heavy butcher block looks great and sturdy; however, within three months of use there is a major crack. The glued pieces of wood have separated: now there is a one inch long by a quarter inch opening. The block is also slightly warped. Board was exposed to some water, but not a lot and it was regularly oiled. What a disappointment. The design would be better if there were some little "legs" on the block to raise it a bit from the counter.
