  I purchased this set in Dec 2012 as a Christmas gift. After 6 months of normal use, the blade handles are too loose for any further use. I am returning this product and requesting a refund.

  Any six-inch bread knife has built-in limitations, but for buns, muffins and the like it is a very convenient tool. It is also useful for other soft foods--tomatoes, strawberries. Other ceramic knives I have tried have not held an edge well, but this is the first serrated blade. That might well make the difference. Otherwise, it comes with the same restrictions common to ceramics--light weight for light use--no prying, bending, dropping, etc. For the price, this is a good investment in convenience.

  This set is amazing. The knives are very sharp and sturdy. The set looks sophisticated and expensive. The only change that I would make is to include cooking shears. You will need to buy those separately.
