I have had these knives 6 months and through use, the coating on the handles is starting to peel. Plus they stain easily (being white ceramic).

This ceramic set is great quality and very sharp. Great for cutting your veggies and fruits. They are delicate so always use a wood or plastic cutting board. Do not use them on a hard surface like the countertop or a plate. They can chip.

Decent quality, attractive product for the price. Goes well with black granite countertops. Very strong magnets to hold your cutlery. BUT, be aware that the back of the rack is hollow plastic. So if you want to mount it on a tile backsplash or some such, you will be drilling through tiles to screw mount it (good luck with that one), or building up something (I myself used wood strips and four slightly longer screws that now secure the magnets) into the back of it so it can be flat mounted to the tile with some double-sided, sticky foam tape.

I got this primarily because I had run out of wide slots in my big knife block (cleaver, extra-wide chef's knife, and those Japanese style knives), which this holds nicely. In addition, I was unexpectedly able to clear out many odd-shaped knives from my junk drawer that just didn't fit in a regular knife block: curved knives (grapefruit, pineapple), plastic lettuce and bagel knives, even a semi-mezzaluna shape for chopping herbs in a shallow bowl. One warning: it's only about 8" deep, so your longest knives won't go all the way in, but that's OK as long as they are leaning solidly against an edge.

The knives are for paring and will be adequate and will serve the purpose the plastic handle diminshes the quality somewhat and has influence on the quality perception.

I love these ceramic knives. Though they are only as good as the handles holding them. In this case- cheap light plastic is not going to do the trick in the long run. I wish they would make these out of quality materials- especially since ceramic blades are just so cool! they cut great but I must say this cheapo plastic handle is not nice. The knife covers are well made. And the knife set comes in a dandy carry case. I do think it is still a good value for the price which is why i gave it 4 stars. Made in china with funny directions.

pretty straight forward, magnetic knife rack, it works. We like it. The only thing is that the outside part of it (where the magnetic strips are mounted) is plastic - so if you're looking for a high-end, all metal magnetic knife rack, this one is not for you.

Purchased this knife set 2 years ago. Noticed that the blades dull FAST and I have never been able to get them as sharp as the original condition. In fact, the sharpener that came with them is useless. The little oval name plates are all gone. I gave up trying to glue them back on. Unfortunately, the plastic handles have also melted and warped from being rested occassionally too near the stove. But the last straw is that I have noticed they are leaving gray streaks on my new Correlle plates! This set has been a disappointment from the start and I am leery of ever purchasing Farberware knives again. I paid much more that today's price!!!

Overall satisfied with the product. The "man" figurine was a little more plastic-y than I expected. For some reason, I wasn't expecting plastic. I thought it would be rubber or something else but it's just your basic plastic. The knives seem fine. Some of them actually seemed quite sharp and one of them, for whatever reason, wasn't sharp at all. Couldn't cut through a tomato easily with it. Otherwise, I think the style is really cool and the knives overall work well.

Appearance wise - the knife block set is a very cute conversation piece. Quality wise - the knifes are top notch. The knife block is made of sturdy ABS plastic. In terms of space efficiency, though, the knife block set is a humungous space hog. The knife block set measures 16"H x 16"D x 11"W. (The manufacturer should have provided these measurements in the product description.) I recommend this item to those who do not need to conserve counter space. It takes up too much real estate in my small kitchen. However, I decided to keep it, partly because of the return postage fee.

I bought this Knife set for my son for Christmas and here is what he says about them: Very poor quality knife set, handle is hollow, allowing water to become trapped inside, even when hand washed as recommended. If any water is left on the knife, it starts to rust, which stainless steel shouldn't rust. After 2 weeks of use, the plastic around the scissor handle broke in more then one place. The handles have started to tarnish, which again, if they were really stainless steel, they would not do. The description is missleaded, saying that they are made of one piece stainless steel, if that were the case, water would not get into the handle. Overall, spend the extra money and get yourself a real set of Stainless steel knife, not these cheap knock-offs.

This is a cute conversation piece to set on your countertop. Everyone who enters our kitchen gets a real laugh. Don't expect hight quality materials, the plastic that the man is made from is cheap and very glossy. The knives are sharp, seem ok in terms of quality, we will see how they hold up over time.

I gave this as a gift to my brother for the Holidays and had it shipped to me first, so I could wrap it, thank goodness. It showed up in a box that was way too small and the original packaging the knife rack came in was damaged and nearly illegible because it had been bent so badly from the outer shipment packaging. The plastic around the knife holder was ripped, and I had to fully open the package to make sure all the contents were there. It was embarassing to explain all of this to my brother. I ended up throwing away the original container because it looked like I got it from a dumpster.

This is a great little knife magnet! It is quality for the price. Made out of plastic but not too chinsy to have to worry about. I have been using mine for months now and it is so convenient to have over my stove when I cook, to hold tongs, spoons or whatever. It comes with wall anchors so you dont have to buy any hardware and they hold firmly. Nothing bad to say about this product! Exactly what I ordered.

I expected more from this product for the price. First, it is made completely of plastic, and not well done - you can see the seams and plastic mold marks and the gaps where the plastic was snapped together. They also need to give a more accurate picture showing this on a kitchen counter near other items so you can see how huge it is. The holder & base take up more space than other normal knife wood blocks.

Even before I bought these, I was disappointed that there wasn't a board representing meat, but we were motivated to do better in our kitchen in combating cross-contamination, so I got this set anyway. The disappointment only deepened. The design is only on one side - the other side is stark white. The material is little better than cardboard -- I expected a sturdy, flexible plastic like a mylar -- this is like some kind of packing material plastic. Worst of all -- with each stroke of the knife, the design is scraped off, leaving a white mark. After a few uses, each board is criss-crossed with a web of white that looks horrible. They are cheaply made, and not worth .50 cents.

I got these to replace my old junky kitchen shears that I felt had areas to hold dirt. These do not have that problem & when I wash them, I am not worried about cleaning under a piece of plastic, since these have no plastic! I really like them & the price was great!

Ok, it's a magnet ... not much to it right? Well the plastic housing is so brittle that the screw tabs break off before the screw even engaged into the drywall. The plastic is so brittle that it will break in your hand (and did with mine). I wouldn't never recommend this product to anyone.
