These knives feel and function like they are low quality. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Above average quality. Not the sharpest out of the box and you must hand wash or they will get rust spots. They have served me well and I am an amateur chef 3-5 nights a week.

I have never had a good set of knives, so I figured it was probably time. I'm so used to working with dull cheap knives that the first time I used the big one, I put a slice through my thumb. Now, I have a healthy respect for sharp knives, and am enjoying using them. I think the set is a good value for the price.

This cutlery set was given to my mother and she absolutely loved it! Fantastic quality, low pricing, and free shipping made this one of the best deals on cutlery one could find.

These are so simple and elegant. Very sharp with a very nice heft. They came very well packaged. The knives should blend well with many different designed flatware yet give you the sharp knife you need for some meals. I thought they were a very good value for a quality item.

A great product and a great price. Chicago Cutlerty is the best branddd for kinves and the wood bloock homlderd and sharpeneer keep the blades sharp.

I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a knife set so I got this one. It has been adequate so far. I live alone and I don't do a lot of cooking but for my purposes it works out just fine. It's probably not as good as a set of Henkels knives but it serves me well so far.

I placed my order on Monday and received the knife set on Friday. UPS was very helpful, but overstock didn't pass my full address to UPS, which caused a bit hassle to fix with UPS. No big deals. I did some research and Chicago Cutlery was one of the recognized brands. My hope was high. Hope is a dangerous game to play as the knives turn out to be rather disappointing: 1 - Some of the knife handles were scratched fresh from the box. We are not picky customers and we can live with these scratches. It's fine... 2 - I was excited to use the knife for the first time to slice through some yams... and the blade turned red? It was extremely disappointing as the knife was brand new...I tried scrubbing but it wont come off... Maybe I should consider going back to my science class and find a way to get rid of this stain.... Never thought about taking care of a knife to be this educating... 3 - Knives are slightly lighter than what I expected (it's a personal preference). I find it harder to chop or slice some larger produce (e.g. yams, which are normally harder than potatoes) The knives other than the bizarre color change/scratches/the weight are a decent starter set. They cut pretty well for smaller produce. We will try them on meat but from the feel of the knives, they are expected to cut well. The price is decent, and thus a three star rating. My husband and I are not planning to keep them for long. We will keep looking for another set. We won't recommend this to friends.

This knife makes everything easy. I slice through a grapefruit like butter. A head of cabbage is shaved into ribbons in mere minutes. However, the ceramic blade is delicate, I broke the tip off of the first one that I had by using it to remove a can lid that was stuck in the drain not realizing how inflexible and delicate it was. But the knife works like a dream, makes chopping and slicing of all sorts quick and safe. I rarely use any of my other knives. Highly recommended!

I found these knives looked expensive! They are on the light side of weight. They came in a nice box, so if you were to give it as a gift, all you need is the wrapping paper & bow! They are Sharp! They will be put to good use! I am Very Happy that I decided to buy these knives!

I bought these as a housewarming gift and they were warmly received. The guys laughed as they now have knives for 'the rest of our lives.' Being familiar with Chicago Cutlery I know the value was there.

I received a Chicago cutlery knife block set as a wedding gift many years ago and still use it. I was recently looking for a set for my son as a holiday gift. I searched many stores in person and online and was unable to find such a good price for a good quality set as on Overstock. My son is thrilled with his knife set and I would highly recommend.

I bought this Chicago Cutlery 15-piece block set as a present for my nephew. It was packed securely and delivered promptly. All the knives looked very sharp and were well organized in one block set.

Julie, AT LONG LAST!, received her cutlery set via UPS on Saturday night...so very nice...that OVERSTOCK TAKES such GOOD CARE of THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! SHE SAYS and I SAY MANY THANKS AGAIN! Julie really appreciated that Overstock ' went the extra 10 miles (so to speak) !' to make sure that she is a well-satisfied customer. She reported to me that Group of Knives and holding Block is JUST PERFECT FOR her kitchen USE and ADDS TO THE DECOR OF HER NEW APARTMENT.

Product is just okay with me. Blades have not maintained their sharpness. Ulitmately I am not sure that with even the reduced price the knives were worth the money spent.

I was in desperate need of cutlery, so when the set arrived I was very impressed. I am not a cook, just a basic preparer of meals, so my cutlery needs are basic. Based on value and appearance, the set is great. If I were a chef or even an interesting cook, I would probably want something more flashy, but being that I have to refer to the instructions to determine what knife cuts what, this set more than meets my needs. I had purchased Cutco cutlery in March, and when I came to my senses, I had 3 days left before I would be the permanent proud owner of $600 worth of cutlery that I would never use enough to justify the cost. Based on that near fiasco, the Chicago Cutlery set was the best thing since sliced bread.

I have been using these knives for a month now & am pleased with this choice. The only disappointment is that the block does not have a sharpener in it. The quality is first rate. I do hand wash the knives as I want them to last. But this is a great value for the price.

This was a gift for a daughter for Christmas, and I just asked her today how she liked her knifes, she said they are freaking amazing! I should of bought a set for myself as well.

Recently got divorced and the good knives went with the ex. I used these same knives for 8 years and loved them so I had to replace them with the same set! I never put them in the dishwasher (although I believe they say you can) so that could be why they stay so nice for me after years of daily use!
