This is a nice, small collection of knives. The blade is as pretty as the rest of it; red with white marbled specs. It cuts very nicely. The holder is a little odd in that you can put the knives anywhere, There is not a specific place for each knife. I like it, but it drives my boyfriend bonkers. This set is perfect for those with little counter space and no OCD tendencies.
These were purchased as a gift. I had recently starting using ceramic knifes and love them! My son and his wife are using and liking these knifes. No more "rust" on knives!
The set looks very nice and unique, but on close inspection the base is plastic with a silver colored film which I don't like. The knife sleeves are also clear plastic that can scratch easily. The knives are very sharp, solid stainless steel and have no signs of rust after about a year, but I am careful with them and wash and dry them as soon as I am done using them. I also do not use them as regularly as my other knives.
I've had these knives for a little over a year and use them every day. I've since bought a large set of more expensive knives because they included steak knives and they aren't as nice as these. These are the ones I always reach for. Wish they would come out with a steak knife set with nice size handles. Definitely would recommend!
This seems to be a good quality knife. Easy grip. Sharp. Throwing away my old pathetic paring knives from the grocery store!
No more sharp knives jumping up out of the drawer to attack my fingers. Now my knives are neatly hanging on the wall right next to the cutting board. And my scissors, too. No digging around to find the right knife. I would buy 100 more if I had that many knives.
They are the best set of Cutlery that I have own. had them for over a year and they are in great condition
Excellent quality knives. Beautiful wood handles. The only drawback is the chef's knife feels awkward when chopping. My knuckles hit the cutting surface just before the back edge of the knife hits it.
I ultimately couldn't use this block because its slope is relatively high and the angle of the knives made it hard to remove with my cabinets' bottom being a little low. I have 42" cabinets. But the quality was excellent and it fit multiple larger knives (I have chefs and sadako knives) plus the steak knife set in full. Wish my cabinets had been higher.
