This well appointed knife set is appealing to the eye with its natural-look storage block and sleek black handles. The assortment of knife styles included covers a full spectrum of cutting needs. Although it is obviously a collection of utility-minded/budget-concious cutlery, it is a value well worth the price paid. If you are looking for upscale tools with a dollar store price tag you may want to keep looking.

this was my first cutlery set ever, so i dont have muche experience with this kind of stuff but i can say that knives look sharp and seem very good. i havent used them yet. the wodd block however looks very cheap and i do not use it to hold the knives. instead i placed them in a drawer in the kitchen. i will let u know how they work when i begin using them tonight.

We got this based on the reviews, but will be returning the set for a refund. The blades are excellent, impressive for such a low price. However, they are not well affixed to the handles and a number of the knives within a couple of weeks were loose and shifting around when used. Also, there was some rusting on the blades after using it several times. We've never experienced this with any of the knives from other companies we've bought in the last 17 years and is clearly due to the poor worksmanship of these knives.We were optimistic about this set and wanted it to work out - we weren't expecting top quality for the price- but the loose blades are not only a nuisance but a safety concern.

Very good for the price. I have never felt it necessary to purchase top of the line as I do not believe "you get what you pay for" in every case!!!...and search for good buys... I hope that they stay sharp ...they seem nice...I use certain knives more than the others and use the "steak" knives most often as well as the bread knives.......

While the knives are decently sharp, most of my smaller sized knives that I use most frequently have had the blade come loose. At first it was just one, but now at least four of them are like this. I have to try to push it back in before using it so it doesn't wobble as much when I try to cut simple things such as cheese. Unfortunately these knives are not worth purchasing and I would not but these again or recommend them to a friend.

Don't waste the money these knives stink! The first day we got them we washed them up and were excited to use them that was the biggest disappointment of all first knife broke right away second knife broke to! And so on and So on it was pretty upsetting we had to throw all buy 4 of them out because the knives were so loose the blade was coming out while we were trying to cut with them.Honestly Spend the extra bucks and get a decent set these were not worth it.

Nice sharp knives, light in weight (cheap?) but solidly constructed. (Since I work with exacto knives, kitchen knives normally disappoint me) Still wondering why they did not cost more. The block is like a green piece of lumber with some rough cuts in it - but it does not look too bad. The angle means it needs a lot of overhead clearance, so do not automatically think you can place it at the back of the counter, under the cabinets.All in all, I was surprised by the good value of this item.

I did not expect this level of quality in such an inexpensive product.I think that this knife set is the best value in non-pro cutlery that you're going to find.I believe that once the frugl name becomes more known the price is going to increase drastically.This brand is so new that i couldn't find find any reviews online about them.This regular set comes with more knives than you need. Biggest reason I bought these was that they would tolerate the dishwasher - and they do. They're nice and sharp (so far) and I like the black. However, the wood stand seems unfinished - little rough. Also, it isn't slanted enough for use under kitchen counter b'cuz knives have to be taken out straight up and cupboards are in the way. So, I'm using my old wood stand and the new knives, which works ok.

I was a little disappointed with the product when I received the knifes one of them had a broken blade, immediately I thought great what a waste of money, But to my surprise the knifes work pretty good to soon to say Iżve only had them a month so time will tell if they will last
