I love this toaster. I was a bit concerned about buying a refurbished item, but I am completely satisfied. My friends paid twice the amount I did, for the same toaster. It toasts perfectly and with a large family I love having the 4 slots.
This is basically a used, broken toaster. I knew it was refurbished, but the toaster was dented and cleary cleaned (not well) from someone's kitchen. Additional, the element only worked to toast one side of the bread plus the plunger on the left side would not go all the way down, so 2 slots were useless. Combined with the acrid smell of buring wires (?), these issues were overwhelming and I had the toaster back in the box as soon as it cooled off from my test run.Funny thing was I bought it to replace the exact same model that I picked up at a cuisinart outlet store about 6 years ago. It never worked well, but looked great. Stay away.
