We received the trunk/bench with the right back hinge stripped away from the screws and wood. It will require minor repairs which can be taken care by ourselves. A lovely piece of furniture but very light. If you are looking for a bench with this item - be warned. It is a handsome piece of furniture and we will store our son's infant goods in it. We had been looking for something like this for a while now.

This trunk was the perfect fit under a window in my mother's room. She stores sweaters and blankets in it. We love the cushioned top since it gives her a place to sit when she's pulling on her shoes. It came in much earlier than promised. The trunk came boxed in tons of foam and padding so that it was virtually impossible to damage. It is lightweight so I had no trouble carrying and moving it. The only bad thing is the lid doesn't really lock into position and doesn't open to a full 90 degree angle. It's more like an 85 degree angle. I'm glad I bought it and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to a friend.

received the bench very quick. no way it could get damaged in shipping. was double packed - box inside another box. it is a little darker than pictured, but still a nice stain. will blend in with my other furniture nicely. it will need to be up against a bed or wall because the carvings are not on the back side. the fabric top is wrapped in a heavy plastic. I'm not sure if you can take it off or not. I think I will leave it on to keep it clean. It is a little pricey for the size, but I found this same piece for 60 - 100 $$ more on other sites plus the extra money for shipping. I love that super low overstock shipping! all in all I think it's gorgeous !! If you are unsure of this bench, I definitely say GO FOR IT !

small but nice bought it to hold a few throws and a few books it serves its purpose. How ever it arrived with split wood where the right hinge was screwed into the wood So I had to pull out the wood glue and filler . I figured it would be to much of a pain to send back. It comes assembled so all you have to do is take it out of its packing. All in all its a nice piece

The craftmanship on this item was excellent for the price. No assembly required. All to gether very pleased with everything about it. Bought it for our teenage daughter for Christmas.

The trunk looks just like the picture. It's not too ornate, but it's not boring either. It could fit with a variety of decor themes. It came fully assembled, so all I had to do was take it out of the box and set it in my entryway. The storage capacity isn't huge, but it's big enough to store my winter hats/gloves/scarves, as well as my umbrellas and bicycle helmet. I haven't started using the storage yet, though, because there's a very strong wood smell to the interior right now. Not a bad smell, but I don't really want my hats to absorb it. So I'm letting the natural scent fade a little before moving my stuff into it. (I'm hoping to speed the process along by placing inside a tissue dotted with peppermint essential oil.) I'm totally happy with this purchase!

The bench with storage was shipped timely and arrived in mint condition. No assembly was required. The wood tone was darker then I expected, and the height was shorter then I imagined, but overall it has great craftsmamship and the storage compartment is roomy.

I was looking for some way to store extra sheet music for our baby grand piano. Our living room is fairly formal so I didn't want to use shelves or an open storage unit. This trunk is the ideal solution, it keeps all of the loose music out of sight and looks beautiful in our living room. It was double packed and it arrived in perfect condition.

I really liked the appearance of the trunk It arrived in good shape with assembly not needed. The only fault I did have was that it did not hold as much items as I expected. But it looks beautiful at the end of my bed and will be useful for storing small linens. I certainly recommend this product.

This item was ordered for my mother in-law who just recently moved in with us. She needed a piece to place at the foot of her bed to take up some floor space and to use for storage. The bedroom in her in-law's quarters of our home is larger that her bedroom was in her villa. She loves it. It is short, both in height and in length. However, the actual size of the bench matches up to the dimensions given online. It is a beautiful piece.

I am very pleased with my bench seat. I did not have to assemble a thing. It is beautiful and makes a wonderful addition to my entry way!!! The inside smells like the stain - so I am going to put some air freshener in it. Other than that, I am very pleased.

This storage bench is a lovely piece of furniture.
Very well made. No assembly was required. The cushion has a plastic cover on it. Carvings on wood are beautifully done.

My trunk is just lovely...Believe it or not, I purchased a nice carved secretary desk to put in my bedroom. Then, I decided I didnt want my bedroom looking like a home office so I bought the trunk to put my files in it. Best Idea I ever had..My bedroom looks like a bedroom. The trunk blends in beautifully, and I have a concealed home office.
The trunk itself is lovely. The quality of the wood and the carvings are exceptional. I was even impressed with the seating part, (the foam) was thick and very good quality. So was the fabric. Kudos to Overstock..They've never dissappointed me..Excellent product for the money....

I have never purchased a piece of furniture over the internet before and this was a pleasent surprise. there was nothing to put together, it came intact. i would have purchased this if saw it in the store for much more than your selling price of this trunk and is being used to hold old photo's etc from my recently deceased mother. Just what i needed! Even the packaging was well enough to keep from damage during delivery. Thanks!!!
