Purchased this rod for my beach condo in Florida. In less than a year, the chrome finish became all rusty. I tried cleaning it but it still looks bad. Due to the 45-day return policy at Overstock, I was not able to get a refund. Overstock did issue a partial store credit, but I still need to purchase another rod. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this rod, particularly for high-humid environments.
It's a great shower curtain rod. Very sturdy. The only downside is the cheap shower curtain that came along with it, I'll be using something better than that.
