It's a great shower curtain rod. Very sturdy. The only downside is the cheap shower curtain that came along with it, I'll be using something better than that.
We are building a new home so I have not installed this shower rod and liner yet. I did take ot out of the packaging and so far am very impressed with the quality of the product.

All went well with the installation; my husband took about 20min form beginning to end. We love the way it looks, we have much more room in the shower now. The balls on the shower hooks make the curtain run nice and smooth.
