This is a very nice looking chair for the price. Fast shipping, arrived in a week. It is roomy and firm. It looks great in my living room. The color is darker than the picture shown online. The chair arrived with damaged seat frame from manufacturing. I called the customer service and got a replacement order right away. Again, the replacement chair arrived in a week. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and impressed with Overstock's excellent customer service. Plan to buy another to make a pair. Would definately recommend to friends and family.

I read all the reviews before ordering but would like to add a few things. For the price, this chair is a great "occasional" chair. As one reviewer noted, the fabric could better be described as brick than wine. One other reviewer complained of a crunching sound, and before ordering, I wondered what she was talking about. The seat cushion isn't crunchy, but the back cushion has a slight crunchy sound--as if the foam was wrapped in a material that ends up making noise. I dealt with it by placing a flat pillow with down inside and you don't even hear the sound then! The seat is very generous, and the pillow actually helps those of us who are short. Just as a note---**** sells a chair that is almost identical (I ordered it) except it has yellow material. It is called the Lancaster chair---it sells for significantly more, the finish is not as nice and it comes with a rubber plug to hide the screws in the back where the arms are assembled. The plugs for this chair are wood. Sold me right there! Let me just say I returned the Lancaster chair as soon as these chairs arrived---even had to take the darn thing apart and pack it back up!

These are nice chairs, I ordered 2 right away because of the reviews. One chair went together just fine, The other the seat frame holes were upside down. I chatted with Overstock customer support and I received a new chair frame about 8 days later. All went together just fine and I am very happy with the chairs, they are very sturdy, I'm 250+ lbs and the chairs support me just fine. The chairs are plain from the back, none of the ornate carvings. Just be aware with the placement in your room. all in all a very nice product, and a very good company to deal with, thanks O!

We love these chairs. They are just the style we needed and comfortable to sit in. Everyone heads for them first when they come for meetings or to visit. They are an ample size so that even big men can sit in them comfortably. We would buy them again.

We are very pleased with the quality, durability and look of the Curved Army Paisley Wine Chair. The workmanship is excellent. We had to send the first chair back to Overstock because the screw holes did not match up correctly. We called customer service and they provided excellent customer service and we received the second chair in less than a week. My husband put the chair together in 45 minutes and it has been sitting pretty in my formal living room since early April 2012. Excellent value for the price!

I bought a pair of these chairs for my living room thinking they would be good alternate seating when we have more guests. I had purchased two other chairs for $800 as my main attraction. When I assembled them (the assembly is very simple, took 15 minutes each) and sat down, I realized that these chairs were more comfortable than the ones I had purchased for $400 a piece. As I stated, putting these together was simple. I had read a previous review of putting the seat in last instead of following the instructions, so I did as the reviewer suggested. This is definitely the way to do it. Also don't tighten things too much until you have the arms in place, then tighten up your screws with the allen wrenches provided. If you are looking for nice looking chairs for a formal area, you will not be disappointed. I have much more expensive furniture all around this room, and these do not look like cheap additions. And they are comfortable, too. Similar chairs at furnitures stores would cost $300 -400 each. Good product at a great price.

While the color, the carving, the cushions, and, eventually, the final product are quite lovely, this piece came in too many pieces. Holes, where, provided were mis-drilled, requiring quite a bit of effort (and two friends who are skiiled at furniture-building with their various tools) to correct the problem. The end result is beautiful, except for the spots where I have to go back and touch up the wood where one of the arms wasn't quite cut right.

I read all the reviews before purchasing 2 chairs. I can honestly say that putting them together was very easy. I did one chair without putting the seat on first and the other i put the seat on first. Both ways were simple, the trick is to not tighten the screws until you are done assembling the chair. The smell that some people complained about is the stain used on the wood and that smell goes away in a couple of days. The only things that gave me a little problem were misaligned brackets under the seat and the screws being a tad short, other than that everything was great. Oh, the design on the fabric is beautiful too. The chairs are gorgeous and expensive looking. Buy them!

I WANT TO STRESS THAT DID NOT GET THESE FROM O.CO...but when delivered, we didnt realize we would have to assemble (they were on display at store and we thought they would be delivered as we saw them), They were (and are) beautiful but the screws on one of the chairs did not line up quite right in spite of several tries - the wood split and the company (which will be blocked if I mention it so no point in doing so) is a major national retailer....so I was shocked when they did not stand behind their product. They said they were discontinued so there was nothing they could do ...the chair is not sturdy and to this day we still use it but mostly for looks - not very safe for sitting. Qyality is poor

We love these chair. The fabric is smooth, but it smells like it has been in a mechanic's garage fro very long time .When we first got the chair it filled the room with the odor , and we thought because it was a new chair. Now whenever we put clothes in the chair they smell like Kerosene.

This is my first major purchase at overstock and will not be the last. These chairs are beautiful, very comfortable, roomier than I anticipated and the height of the seat and arm rests are perfect. Color is gorgeous wine red (burgundy), the color of the wood is very nice and it lacks nothing of a high-end expansive chairs. It matches wonderfully with the rug that I also purchased at Overstock. The chairs had a glue smell for a few days, but it is gone now. I am very happy with my purchase and will keep. you can come close to these chairs for less than $$$ shipping etc at a retailer. It needs assembly and my husband assembled both of them in less than hour and thought they are very well made with quality material. He also said that the instructions were easy to understand and all pieces fit together perfectly.

This chair works well for my room. It is a side chair next to my couch. When assembling be sure to keep all bolts loos until the chair is completely together and DO NOT attach the chair seat to the frame first. The arms are impossible to get on it you do. Instead, skip to step 2 and put the chair together. Once its all together with lose bolts you can slide the seat cushion in between the arms and rest it easily on the frame. Then attach the seat to the frame and tighten the rest of the bolts. Voila! It is really easy. The chair paisly fabric is lovely and has different hues depending on lighting which makes it go with burgundies, reddish-orange, dark reds and other colors. The wood is very nice. The back of the chair has no carvings, but is completely finsihed and looks fine from the back. I did have to put a pillow in the back of it, which looks nice, so that the deep seat didn't leave even my long legs hanging off the end of the chair. Chair is extremely deep.

I've put together several pieces of furniture and I have to say this seat cushion is difficult to install. If you attach the seat cushion to the wood base first, (as per the instructions), you will not be able to put the arms on when the time comes, no matter how loose you keep the bolts--it ain't happening! You must put the rest of the pieces together first, keeping the bolts loose so you can get the cushion in place. Unfortunately that means you can't install the cushion from below, (pushing down on the cushion to get the screws in), as the picture suggests, because the arms are in the way. I may have to get the cushion in place and tighten all the bolts, then ask someone to sit on the chair while I install screws into the cushion from underneath. While I figure that out, I'm waiting for Customer Service to send me a replacement for one of the arms that arrived damaged. The Customer Service Rep was great and that seems to be no problem, but we shall see...

this is a great product from Overstock! It was delivered quickly and was fairly easy to put together. It took me an hour for the first chair and 20 minutes for the second chair. I really like the way these chairs look in my front room, and they are comfortable to sit in as well. I would recommend these chairs to others.
