Bought these curtains to help insulate our 3 season room. Unfortunately, I must not of really understood the material because these curtains don't have the heavy insulated flocking, only a thicker material so I don't know if they will provide enough insulation against the MN winter cold !

I now own 3 pairs and will probably order another for the living room! I have tried many other more expensive black out / thermal curtains before and have always been disappointed with the material (very stiff, limited color choices and ohh! that horrible plastic white backing!) NOT these! 1. The fabric feels great to the touch - dare I say "buttery"? 2. The colors are terrific - rich enough for mature color schemes and bright enough for kids rooms 3. The blackout properties are great - perfect for my 2 young children's midday naps 4. NO horrible plastic backing so they look good from both sides - I use them on our front windows and at night when the curtains are closed it looks as if the house is completely dark from the outside even with every light inside on! I would definitely recommend these curtains and might even order a few extra pairs in case Overstock ever stops carrying them.

These are awesome, I get tons of compliments on them. They are exactly as pictured. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I ordered 6 of them and 2 of them must have been from a different "batch" or something, because they were 2-3" shorter than the other 4 curtains.

I have been looking for a grommet topped machine washable neutral curtain since redoing my kitchen 3 years ago. This one, while unlined, suits us perfectly. Did I mention it is machine washable?! Note that the top stripe on mine is gray not white as shown in the pictures here, in case that matters to you. Each of the two panels are 52" wide. So far very pleased.

I purchased three curtain panels for my master bedroom. The curtains block out the sun light and we love the color. I purchase 3 Taupe Grey patterned sheer curtain panels to place over the solid panels which gives the room an elegant look. We are happy with our choice. And the price was great for the quality.

I purchased 3 panels of this curtain in Sky Blue. The color is soft and nice, however the first package I opened had bad stitching and a hole where the stitching had come undone. There are also several loose threads and I was afraid they would continue to come undone. I am returning them today and hope these were just a one-off and not how these curtains would normally come.

I love the pattern and colors on this insulated curtain, the only proble was that they were 3 inches shorter than advertised. The only way I could get them to work was to use curtain clip rings to compensate for the length.

The MAIN reason I bought these was for the COLOR. Second reason was blackout feature and the thermal feature was an extra. Pros: (1) Color is a much prettier blue than most other blue curtains out there. This is good if you really like a true blue (rather than teal, aqua, etc) and you don't like navy, royal blue or blues that are pale and washed out. This blue has a contemporary, saturated color instead of generic, old-fashioned or ugly blues that seem to be the standard. (2) I like the style because the lack of rings or grommets means you can get the curtain close to the window/patio door and therefore block more light. I purchased a curtain rod that fits close to the patio door. (3) Machine washable (4) Nice fabric looks elegant, substantial and not cheap. Feels nice. I like the matching ties. Cons: (1) Not 100% blackout. They say it blocks "nearly all" - 99.9% but it doesn't seem to be quite that much. When the curtains are closed and the sun is shining outside, I can see some light coming through enough that I see the seems against the sun, and it's not like I hang the curtains taut. My sliding doors are approx. 95" wide and 80" high. I have 2 panels on each side. Fortunately it's enough block for me. You need poles that lie close your window/doors to help with light blockage. (2) I don't notice any thermal effect.

The curtains are beautiful!!! They look like silk curtains, at a fraction of the price. The 3 tone in the curtains is lovely. I've been shopping for curtains for close to 3 months now. Going to all the stores, checking all the quality and deals. Let me tell you...these curtains can't be beat for the price. I purchased 3 sets for my oversized living room, it looks like a decorator came in. Can't say enough about how happy I am :)

I got these for a window in my basement office. After installing them, I had to turn the thermostat in the room down three degrees and take off my extra sweater. Love the light-blocking factor too.

These curtains were the perfect addition to our bedroom! We bought them with the matching bedding. As others have mentioned, they are more of a yellow-ivory, but don't let that deter you! They are beautiful. We bought 3 of the panels to fill our bedroom window, I would suggest 3-4 per large window, as the effect of the ruffles is so dramatic this way! Overall, I am thrilled with the style and quality of these curtains. Thank you Overstock. :)

These are great curtains. Hold out the cold air & the light. The weight & feel are fabulous. The only complaint I have is the length. I purchased 18 panels & there is 3 different lengths between them. I had to wait until all panels arrived & lay them out as to match up the lengths. That was disappointing as I am not a seamstress.

I ordered a pair of these last fall for our large cottage windows and they are very nice curtains, they keep the cold out in the winter we close them at night and open during the day for the sun. Saved us some ** last year in heating oil for sure, buying 3 more pairs for the living room today

I ordered the curtains on a Tuesday and received them on a Thrusday. Very fast service. They are everything that I hoped they would be. Very soft, look good. I ordered 4 pr. but only needed to use 3, so I will use the other pair in another room. They really do block out the light and keep in the heat.

I had just remodeled the 2nd floor of our 3 story townhome and our style is very modern. These curtains are a fabulous fit to our design. I went to 6 different stores looking for the right curtains when I came across these curtains on overstock.com and they were exactly what I was looking for. My friends and family think that I spent a fortune on these curtains when actually it was a steal! Thanks Overstock.com!

As many reviewers have mentioned, it's very tough to true blackout curtains that are extra wide. These were the two factors that mattered most for my purchase. I'm like a vampire when I sleep. A crack of sunlight wakes me up in the morning. I used to tape black garbage bags around the accordion wings of my air conditioning window units because they filtered too much light. So I really need curtains that let in practically zero light. Then there's the width issue. Most brands focus on the lengths. 84 and 96 inches long seem to be the norm. But if you have 105 inches across of window space to cover, width is what matters most. 50 inch wide panels are most common. But in my case that would require 3 panels at least to cover the space. Amazon carries a brand called Blackout Curtain (perhaps too obvious?) that were 80 inches wide per panel. Workable but they say the rule of thumb is to get at least twice the width you need to create that bunched up look in your curtains. Then I find this product. 100" W x 84"L extra wide blackout curtains by Best Home Fashion. $$ a panel seemed reasonable. The packaging itself has the word "Black Out" in large letters and "Wide Width" in red lettering. Says it blocks out 99.9% of light. Perfect! Girlfriend wants them in beige. I'm skeptical any color other than black will do the job, but OK I'll give it a try. Well my hunch was right. I can only speak for the beige colored curtains. A white bed sheet would probably do a better job of blocking out sun rays than these translucent window coverings. These are not true blackout curtains by any definition. It certainly darkened the room. But if you use the word "blackout", at 6am my room should look like the inside of a coffin and not like a romantic scene out of a Jane Austen movie. I'd say these curtains blocked out 49.9% of the light. Perhaps 99.9% on the packaging is a typo. On the brighter side (that's right), I like the fabric quality, and they look good once hung up. Large grommets make it easy to slide the curtains open and closed. But I wound up having to hang up blackout roller shades over the 3 window panes to supplement these curtains' blackout failure. And I originally had the roller shades up alone before taking them down. They couldn't do a sufficient job alone either as too much light was seeping through the sides. I imagine the black colored curtains might be a different story. Looking back I should have simply spent $$ on a sleep mask at Rite Aid. But I find that to be too claustrophobic. So I guess I really am not a vampire after all.

This is my 2 or 3 purchase of panels. I am very happy with the quality. Tried to get them in other stores only to return them and purchase them from overstock. No need to run from store to store.

I ordered two shades of the black out panels. (navy and beige) - the quality is amazing. I shopped for about 2 months for curtains never fully satisfied with the quality of the material i found. I saw the overtock pair and thought i may try and if I dont like them then I will send them back - overstock is always good about returns. the curtain panels are so soft and thick! They are amazing at blocking out light and the draft from the old windows.......I am more than pleased.......I am ordering a 3rd pair today for the last of the 3 bedrooms. thank you overstock for another great product!

I love these curtains so much that I will order 3 more sets in the ivory/ brown combo colors and hang them in the living room and hang the green/brown combo sets in my dining room. I don't want anything blocking the natural light in the living room.

Arrived within 3 days of ordering. Color orange is exactly as shown on Overstock site. Even prettier in person. They came with matching backs. The orange is vibrant and the white is a true white not cream or beige. Back of curtain is solid white. They block out light extremely well. The overall feel of the material was a pleasant surprise....being a black out curtain I thought the blockout backing would be kind of stiff or rubbery/plasticy feeling BUT these curtains are soft on both sides and hang like soft flowing high quality drapes. They dont even feel like cloth fabric....sooooo buttery soft. I would have paid double for this high end product.
With all of the many different shower curtains and liners, curtain rods, rings, and hook sets, it's easy to find the perfect shower curtain combination for your bathroom. The question now is how to set it all up once you've found it. Although most shower curtains are a standard size, you can also opt for slightly longer varieties, and you can always make use of differing heights of rods and use shower curtain rings to create the length you want.
Curtains add privacy and style to a room, but before you buy a set, you'll need to know which size is right. You'll find that curtains usually come in lengths of 63 inches, 84 inches, 95 inches, 108 inches, and 120 inches. The length you choose will depend on the look that you want as well as the placement of your curtain rod.
You can add a lot of old-fashioned charm to your bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower enclosure. Once you have the bathtub and plumbing fixtures installed, it's time to set up the frame for the shower curtain. With a normal tub, you could just rely on a shower rod between two walls, but a clawfoot tub is usually set away from the wall in an open area, which means the shower curtain rail will need to cover the entire bath tub perimeter. And that can require a custom enclosure frame for your unique claw foot tub. Here are a few steps to help you install it.
If your shower is feeling cramped, installing a curved shower rod is an easy way to add more room without any renovations. A curved shower rod extends the liner and curtain out into the bathroom, giving you more space as you shower. Installing a curved shower rod is not much different from installing a standard straight rod, but there a few tips that will help you make sure your rod will stay in place without taking up too much space.
Arched windows allow light to enter the home through beautifully curved glass. Decorative arched windows create a spacious feel and add warmth from the sun's glow while providing a wide view of the outdoors. Dressing an arched window for privacy is similar to adding window treatments to standard square or rectangular windows, with a few adjustments. Drapes, valances and curtains can be fitted for arched windows and coordinated with standard window treatments in the home.
To avoid putting on a show each time you step into the shower, the best plan is to find a stylish way to cover your windows. When choosing bathroom window treatments, you may want to keep a couple of practical considerations in mind. Unlike other rooms in the house, the bathroom windows present special challenges concerning privacy and humidity. The best window decor ideas for bathrooms are those that provide sufficient privacy and can withstand moisture from steamy showers and baths.
