I like the curtains however, we ordered the 108" curtains and they were about 3" too short -from top to bottom they measured 105". We are just going to have them altered instead of returning.

Love them! They are classy and I have gotten several compliments on them. Did have to order 3 more pairs cause I wanted them to look thicker.

We live in an old victorian home with 14' ceilings and 10' windows. I haven't be able to commit to window coverings since they are sooo expensive for our windows and each room has a lot of them. I took the plunge on this because of the price and was thrilled with the quality and functionallity. We have a tv room with 3 large 10' windows and 2 small 2' windows. These curtain, in this color truly block out the light and noise. Also, the weight and fabric are great. Wished they had every color I need - all our windows would be cover with this curtains!

We loved this one so much that we purchased 3 more. We have a downtown condo with western exposure, so the sun is intense in the evening. Living downtown street noise is loud so the additional sound barrier is wonderful. The curtains feel like silk to touch and hang easily. We are very pleased.

I read the reviews for these curtains before ordering (Taupe), and decided to take a chance on them despite the negative feedback. The reviews are right: these are not blackout curtains, and there are some quality problems with the fabric. I accidentally overbought (3 pairs, 6 curtains total), and am glad I did because the fabric was from different dye lots. I was able to match the pairs and return the ones that didn't match. Also, these are NOT blackout curtains! The weave is loose enough to let some light through, except for a very obvious seam down the center of one of the panels where fabric was joined. However, all of these issues can only be seen when the curtains are closed and there is light coming from the other side. During the day when the curtains are open, they look fantastic! I love the pile of the fabric and the color is a nice earthy taupe. If you're aware of the problems, these curtains are worth the money.

As many reviewers have mentioned, it's very tough to true blackout curtains that are extra wide. These were the two factors that mattered most for my purchase. I'm like a vampire when I sleep. A crack of sunlight wakes me up in the morning. I used to tape black garbage bags around the accordion wings of my air conditioning window units because they filtered too much light. So I really need curtains that let in practically zero light. Then there's the width issue. Most brands focus on the lengths. 84 and 96 inches long seem to be the norm. But if you have 105 inches across of window space to cover, width is what matters most. 50 inch wide panels are most common. But in my case that would require 3 panels at least to cover the space. Amazon carries a brand called Blackout Curtain (perhaps too obvious?) that were 80 inches wide per panel. Workable but they say the rule of thumb is to get at least twice the width you need to create that bunched up look in your curtains. Then I find this product. 100" W x 84"L extra wide blackout curtains by Best Home Fashion. $$ a panel seemed reasonable. The packaging itself has the word "Black Out" in large letters and "Wide Width" in red lettering. Says it blocks out 99.9% of light. Perfect! Girlfriend wants them in beige. I'm skeptical any color other than black will do the job, but OK I'll give it a try. Well my hunch was right. I can only speak for the beige colored curtains. A white bed sheet would probably do a better job of blocking out sun rays than these translucent window coverings. These are not true blackout curtains by any definition. It certainly darkened the room. But if you use the word "blackout", at 6am my room should look like the inside of a coffin and not like a romantic scene out of a Jane Austen movie. I'd say these curtains blocked out 49.9% of the light. Perhaps 99.9% on the packaging is a typo. On the brighter side (that's right), I like the fabric quality, and they look good once hung up. Large grommets make it easy to slide the curtains open and closed. But I wound up having to hang up blackout roller shades over the 3 window panes to supplement these curtains' blackout failure. And I originally had the roller shades up alone before taking them down. They couldn't do a sufficient job alone either as too much light was seeping through the sides. I imagine the black colored curtains might be a different story. Looking back I should have simply spent $$ on a sleep mask at Rite Aid. But I find that to be too claustrophobic. So I guess I really am not a vampire after all.

These curtains are blackout as claimed. I have 3 bright windows right above my bed and they do block the light out! The fabric is thick and they look lovely hanging up. They don't look cheap. They aren't lined white on the inside so watch out for that if you're expecting lined curtains.

These are by far the best value and best quality insulated curtains I have found anywhere. Beautifully plush fabric. I wish I had found them 3 years ago. They completely cut down on the draft from the windows and they will be perfect with the long alaskan day light in the summer to block the light. My whole upstairs is remarkably warmer with the curtains in the bedrooms.

I purchased 3 pair of the blackout curtains for the bedroom. After reading the instructions I washed them pair at the time and hung them on the clothes line to dry.To my surprise some of the backing had come off and it had put powdery patches over the drapes.I did continue to wash the other 2 pairs and now had the same issue. I call customer service straight away and as always they were fantastic. I returned the curtains and got a full refund.I am yet to repurchase new drapes but unfortunately this has given me cold feet.

These are very nice, fancy looking curtains. I bought them for my daughter's room. As the other reviews stated, they do not block the light at all. I have a shade underneath. These are just for looks. I love the 3-dimensional look of the brown on the pink. Gives it an expensive look. Very cute!

This is my 2 or 3 purchase of panels. I am very happy with the quality. Tried to get them in other stores only to return them and purchase them from overstock. No need to run from store to store.

Curtains were very thin, after purchasing these I saw some very similar at bed bath & beyond...they called them sheers which I think was a more appropriate description. Also I ordered the taupe which looked more like a shimmery gold. The main reason I returned them was because at the time the item description said they had a 3" rod pocket, when I received them they were only 1 1/2" and wouldn't fit on my rods.

These curtains were shipped quickly, we received them within 3 days. They are exactly how they are described. Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a material heavy enough to keep the cold out but I wanted a soft look. I got that with these curtains. I hung them that day and they didn't need to be pressed/ironed. They look great in our room and I'm looking forward to buying more to cover our other windows (as we can afford). Very pleased with my purchase from Overstock.com

We're just finishing up a remodel of our first floor and replacing the old plantation shutters was overdue. We ended up installing mini-blinds, and thus needed curtains for the great groom (3 tall windows and a sliding glass door for the kitchen-dining room-living room). The wall color we chose was a medium, warm shade, and as the front porch doesn't allow a lot of light, we wanted white or light colored curtain panels with a subtle pattern. These were perfect for the job. They are unlined and have the feel of linen (but thankfully, don't wrinkle like linen). They're not weighty and allow a significant amount of light to filter through, but still allow privacy screening. Since we close our blinds in the evening, we don't have to worry about "see-through" when the lights are on at night. Shipment took about a week (coming out of California to the East Coast); also, it was the holiday season, so I wasn't surprised they didn't come earlier. Packaging was fine. Of course, they had to be ironed before hanging; they ironed out beautifully and we're very pleased with results. I only wish they came in hanging tab, but the back tabs work fine. Choose hardware thick enough if you're using the back tabs - otherwise they have a tendency to droop at top, showing the pole in places. We ended up getting different hardware so they would hang better. These are not panels to block out light, nor to insulate against drafts or cold. They do, however, give a nice, airy feel to the room. Would definitely recommend.

These are great curtains. Hold out the cold air & the light. The weight & feel are fabulous. The only complaint I have is the length. I purchased 18 panels & there is 3 different lengths between them. I had to wait until all panels arrived & lay them out as to match up the lengths. That was disappointing as I am not a seamstress.

We bought 2 pairs of red curtains for our master bedroom, after receiving the products, we are pleased with the darkening effect and we ordered 3 more in grey for other bedrooms. The light grey is less darkening, but the fabric texture is satisfactory. This is the best black out curtain I have purchased online so far. Excellent price for value.

We ordered these in white for our new sunroom, to filter light and for privacy, and they are excellent! Wonderful design, and just the right amount of coverage for a 3 season glass room. Grommets are made well, too.

I'm really surprised by these curtains. The fabric is really soft and yet they are matte. I selected the grey for a grey and white bedroom and they perfect and do the job darkening the room for an afternoon nap. These look much richer than the price. I'm ordering 3 sets.

Got these drapes just before Christmas. Bought them for 3 different rooms and absolutely love them. They have made such a difference in the temperature in the rooms. (We live in a cold climate.) One of the bedrooms that I put them in was always cold. Now there is a noticeable difference when I walk into the room. They also do a good job of blocking the light. We have black in one room and they work the best in terms of blocking the light. The second room is the sky blue and they do a surprisingly good job as well. Will be ordering more for my grandson's room. They are light weight compared to the older versions of thermal drapes. They look much more expensive than they are. They look very rich with the tie backs in place. (Nice to use when company is coming. ) Can be used with shears for a nice effect. I like the versatility of being able to shear on the rod or have the pleated look. I am very happy with this purchase.

I found the perfect curtains for a guest bedroom that not only look great, but are light blocking without the heavy feel of the old thermal backed curtain. Excellent, rich color, (I got the burgundy), very nice weight, and wrinkle free. No need to iron the panels out of the packaging, just put them in the dryer as the directions say and they are ready to hang. My windows measured 100 wide and two panels were a little short. I ordered two more and the window looks stunning. I would recommed going with 1 1/2 times width of the window for proper fit. The grommets are sturdy, but because they don't lay flat on the rod, take up the width by about 3/4 of an inch for each grommet. Highly recomment these for any room.
With all of the many different shower curtains and liners, curtain rods, rings, and hook sets, it's easy to find the perfect shower curtain combination for your bathroom. The question now is how to set it all up once you've found it. Although most shower curtains are a standard size, you can also opt for slightly longer varieties, and you can always make use of differing heights of rods and use shower curtain rings to create the length you want.
Curtains add privacy and style to a room, but before you buy a set, you'll need to know which size is right. You'll find that curtains usually come in lengths of 63 inches, 84 inches, 95 inches, 108 inches, and 120 inches. The length you choose will depend on the look that you want as well as the placement of your curtain rod.
You can add a lot of old-fashioned charm to your bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower enclosure. Once you have the bathtub and plumbing fixtures installed, it's time to set up the frame for the shower curtain. With a normal tub, you could just rely on a shower rod between two walls, but a clawfoot tub is usually set away from the wall in an open area, which means the shower curtain rail will need to cover the entire bath tub perimeter. And that can require a custom enclosure frame for your unique claw foot tub. Here are a few steps to help you install it.
If your shower is feeling cramped, installing a curved shower rod is an easy way to add more room without any renovations. A curved shower rod extends the liner and curtain out into the bathroom, giving you more space as you shower. Installing a curved shower rod is not much different from installing a standard straight rod, but there a few tips that will help you make sure your rod will stay in place without taking up too much space.
Arched windows allow light to enter the home through beautifully curved glass. Decorative arched windows create a spacious feel and add warmth from the sun's glow while providing a wide view of the outdoors. Dressing an arched window for privacy is similar to adding window treatments to standard square or rectangular windows, with a few adjustments. Drapes, valances and curtains can be fitted for arched windows and coordinated with standard window treatments in the home.
To avoid putting on a show each time you step into the shower, the best plan is to find a stylish way to cover your windows. When choosing bathroom window treatments, you may want to keep a couple of practical considerations in mind. Unlike other rooms in the house, the bathroom windows present special challenges concerning privacy and humidity. The best window decor ideas for bathrooms are those that provide sufficient privacy and can withstand moisture from steamy showers and baths.
