It burns toast black in the two slots on the right. The two left sided slots work as long as you set it on the lightest setting. Anything above a 2 also burns on the left. Since it was a gift, the recipient merely said Thank you. Several weeks later I visited the recipient/family member and used the toaster myself. It was then that I discovered that the product should really been returned for a refund. It is attractive, pops up nicely, the levers work smoothly. But that is not the primary purpose of a toaster. I still like this website and will continue to shop here. Their quick delivery is excellent.

This toaster is good for toasting four items at once. The wide openings allow for bagels and thick slices of bread while interior wires will hold thin slices upright. The settings for bagel, pastry, defrost etc. seem to work fairly well, but the darkness setting could be more sensitive. Settings four, five and six will pretty much char whatever you put in. Three can be dark. Ours is usually at two and sometimes requires a second round. Sides do not toast evenly. I will often flip items around after one cycle and toast again. Pull out crumb trays are fairly convenient, but overall I expected more from a Cuisinart product.

Toaster is white so it shows all the grime. Whoever reconditioned it did not clean the grime off from around the knobs or the display panels (kinda gross if you ask me!). The inside was clean and the toaster seems to work fine. Don't think I would buy a reconditioned toaster again after this.

This is a nice toaster. Not a good value for the money spent. I have found it for the same money & not reconditioned.

The toasting unit on the left side broke within a year. Also, the numbered dials for the level of toasting are lit by electric lights....what a waste of electricity.

Toaster was 'Refurbished' - NOT! Altho the toaster looked fine on the outside, the support brackets for the plastic shell were broken- probably the reason for the return in the first place.With a little epoxy and some wire, I fixed it, as it was not worth the return shipping and delay to get another 'refurbished' one.

This toaster is great. It works perfectly. Was a little worried about buying a refurbished one but I would buy a second one without question.

Looks good, Toasts all things(bread, bagels, englih muffins well. It also does 4 at a time!! We like it!!

I put a waffle, bread, English Muffin and a bagle in all at the same time. They all came out great. I love my new toaster!

Nice appearance, fast & even toasting . Wide slots hold thick slices of home made bread easily

Arrived and works great. Nervous about buying reconditioned but all is great. Will look closer at reconditioned products as it looks new.
