I used the boil setting to boil eggs, pasta or rice-in-a-bag regularly. I've slow cooked Kahlua Pig in it for 2 days and carnitas for a day/day and a half. My my finest chili is made in this baby! I've sauteed and pan fried New York steaks and filet mignon w/great success. Artichokes! Steam them, thn BBQ thm! YUM It cleans up real easy too. Just lift up and BAM! One pot/pan for it all. I've even used it as a humidifier for my kids...REALLY. If the cord were retractable it w/b the perfect cooking device!

    It seems that every time I am purchasing a small appliance or cookware lately, I'm turning towards Cuisinart. They seem to offer a smart looking product as well as all the great features I am looking for in cookware! This crockpot is perfect for my needs. I purchased the 4qt as I am cooking for 2 and can make a full pot of chili for 8 so there is plenty to share or to have leftover. I also love the sauté feature in the convenience of 1 pot!

    We bought this one because both temp and time were adjustable and that it was a little larger than the smallest cooker. As it turned out it was just the right size for just the two of us. First cook was a 2.6 lb chuck roast and it just did fit into the cooker, perfect! Meal came out delicious. The cleanup was very easy, now the only problem is deciding where to store cooker.

  • Cuisinart 4-quart cook central multi cooker

    I have looked for a cooker that did more than the usual cook on low or high. Some recipes require a certain temperature while cooking and this is the only one that I found that goes up to 400 degrees. The browning feature is great, so that if you are making a stew you can brown meat then add the remaining ingredients while not dirtying a second pan. This certainly is a multi cooker.
