Customer Reviews
I got this because both my very old cuisinart blend and food processor are on their last legs. The blender attachment works just like a cuisinart blender. Powerful blender motor and a nice wide glass bowl. The food processor is very small (good for chopping herbs or a small batch of salad dressing or dip) but does not have the power, size or attachments for anything significant. The food processor motor is not direct drive (feeds off the blender motor) and is VERY loud. If you need a real food processor stick with the original cuisinart.
Have not used the food processor part yet but blender works pretty well. I put some very small pieces of banana in a smoothie (did not want a lot - trying to get son with food issues gradually eating new flavors) in and did not blend it well, but maybe it would have if bigger chunks put in initially. It is very loud but overall has fit my needs.
I used the blender/processor and it worked great and smooth running. I haven't used the blender yet, but I'm sure it will work as well. Happy with my purchase. I have spent money on several less expensive processosr/blenders and have never been happy with them. So I bought a Cuisenart because I have several products by this name and am satisfied with them.
I replaced two of my old, worn-out appliance with this one piece of machinery and it works great and looks good even if left on the counter! The food processor attachment maintains its power even when chopping bulky ingredience. The blender runs smoothly and it seems that I don't have to stop ever minute to scrape down the container. I love this appliance!
I have only used the blender thus far but it does a pretty good job. The ideal situation would be to have a better blade (a taller one) but that's not equipped with this machine. The glass jar is superb for hot stuff, soups, salsa's etc. Easy to clean. It is a bit heavy since it's glass but I don't see this as a problem. I don't know about the food processor part yet, haven't used that. Aesthetically it's pleasing to the eye and pretty durable.
