OK product
jammi  from West Coast,  Oct 3, 2009
Powerful! First time we turned it on, we jumped back! So far what I like the most is that the blender has a wide, stable base that lets you work with it on and off the motor. Also, easy to clean up. I think we will enjoy a long and useful relationship.

Overstock.com describes this as having a brushed stainless finish, but when it arrived it actually was a chrome finish! The box even says it is in the Cuisinart "Chrome Series".

Great product!!!
islandcook  from Mass.,  Sep 1, 2009
Very impressed with this product, however the food processor portion is much smaller than I had anticipated. Very similar to my mini food processor. The blender portion is great, will be using this often!

Cuisinart Blender/Foodprocessor
jaz50  from Lexington MA,  May 30, 2009
I got this because both my very old cuisinart blend and food processor are on their last legs. The blender attachment works just like a cuisinart blender. Powerful blender motor and a nice wide glass bowl. The food processor is very small (good for chopping herbs or a small batch of salad dressing or dip) but does not have the power, size or attachments for anything significant. The food processor motor is not direct drive (feeds off the blender motor) and is VERY loud. If you need a real food processor stick with the original cuisinart.

Have not used the food processor part yet but blender works pretty well. I put some very small pieces of banana in a smoothie (did not want a lot - trying to get son with food issues gradually eating new flavors) in and did not blend it well, but maybe it would have if bigger chunks put in initially. It is very loud but overall has fit my needs.

Happy with Purchase
1974happyfeet  from Morganton, NC,  May 18, 2009
I used the blender/processor and it worked great and smooth running. I haven't used the blender yet, but I'm sure it will work as well. Happy with my purchase. I have spent money on several less expensive processosr/blenders and have never been happy with them. So I bought a Cuisenart because I have several products by this name and am satisfied with them.

I replaced two of my old, worn-out appliance with this one piece of machinery and it works great and looks good even if left on the counter! The food processor attachment maintains its power even when chopping bulky ingredience. The blender runs smoothly and it seems that I don't have to stop ever minute to scrape down the container. I love this appliance!

Blender/Food Processor
dockmp  from Chicago, IL,  Apr 6, 2009
I have only used the blender thus far but it does a pretty good job. The ideal situation would be to have a better blade (a taller one) but that's not equipped with this machine. The glass jar is superb for hot stuff, soups, salsa's etc. Easy to clean. It is a bit heavy since it's glass but I don't see this as a problem. I don't know about the food processor part yet, haven't used that. Aesthetically it's pleasing to the eye and pretty durable.

Great for smoothies
stellar888  from Seattle, wa,  Mar 12, 2009
I use this every morning to make a smoothie. It grinds up ice cubes with out a problem. I use the food processor to chop up vegi's for soups and sauces. It also works very well. The only complaint it that is it a little loud, however my old blender (made by black and deker) was louder.

great 4 me
bouncer  from Denver, CO,  Feb 26, 2009
This has a smaller container than my former food processor, which died a painful death. However, I have a single household and it is fine for me. Doesn't take up much space. I was surprised there was no manual for operation but I have figured it out without one. Great price and value for the price. I am happy.

I was seeking to downsize my kitchen appliances to fit into a new "appliance garage". The combination of food processor and blender was ideal. I have used both features so far and they both are of good size, fit well into the cabinet space, and work wonderfully. The appliance is very sharp looking. The value/cost was even better! I would definitely reccommend this item to all. Consumer in Western PA

Using the blender/food processor I found it easy to handle and it's slim enough to place anywhere in my kitchen. The blender is so powerful it just takes a few seconds and its done. I'm a vegan and I prepare a lot of food items in the processor, the hummus turns out great! I like that the blender is glass. The all-in-one Cuisinart is the one to have. Thank you

Cuisinart Multitasker
megabytebullies  from Coastal Washington State,  Feb 11, 2009
I hoped to replace my old blender before it quit altogether and liked the idea of a compact combo of blender and processor. It does not exactly hit the mark even though it appears to be a quality appliance. The drive mechanism is the same as on the blender I have that is wearing out. The blender jar is wide with straight sides. Smoothies don't blend as well as they do in the more common sloping sided jar of other blenders. The processor has one blade so it slices or shreds- does not mix pastry like my others have. I chose this for its compact size and nice appearance but I think the functionality is only fair.

This food processor/blender is phenominal! Very quick and precise slicing, dicing and chopping. The ice chop feature on the blender is nice.

Great versatile product
cckarl  from New York, NY,  Jan 25, 2009
Living in Manhattan, space really comes at a premium. Hence having products that can double - or even triple! - are always welcome. Especially in the kitchen. I had been looking for a blender and a food processor and was pleasantly surprised when I came across this hybrid. I didn't want to compromise on power for either of the products and both of them more than perform. The design is really sleek, as well and I love the stainless steel finish. Since I've gotten it, I've used either feature pretty much daily. One note: the food processor is definitely on the smaller size. If you plan to use this feature often for big meals, you should consider investing in a regular sized one as the container is about 1/4 of a normal one.

Great Asset
cookie25  from Antioch, TN,  Dec 29, 2008
I ordered the Food Processor/Blender combo for Christmas. It made my cooking experience fast as well as fun! Chopping items were a breeze. However you will need to get used to the various settings it offers as well as the time used to cut items. Other than that there are some handy recipes in the instruction manual.

This allows you to combine 2 small appliances into one! The food processor bowl is small....don't rely on it for big recipes. Great for simple shredding and chopping, though.
