HEAVY. All stainless steel-no plastic inside.Heats up quickly.LOOKS GREAT!I researched electric tea kettles before I purchased this. Glad I found it at a great price. You cannot tell it was "refurbished". Nothing is wrong with it and I have had it since beginning of December and use it all the time.

It says it is refurbished, but it looks brand new and works perfectly. Make hot water in very little time. The stainless steel finish is very attractive. I will buy more for gifts.

This is a really great kettle. It looks beautiful in my kitchen, and goes well with my stainless steel appliances. I use it at least three times a day as tea is my caffeine of choice. It clicks off as soon as the water is boiled so it's impossible to boil the kettle dry, which would ruin the appliance and could be dangerous. Its base plugs in to the wall, but I love that I am free to move around the kitchen with the kettle. It is stainless steel inside and out, which is important because water doesn't pick up any unwanted tastes such as plastic (which could also be unhealthy). My only disappointment was that I would have preferred if the clear water level gauge at the back of the kettle had been measured in cups as well as liters; and I would have liked to have been able to see the amount lower than 1.3 liters (I have to guess 2 cups). Having said that, I used to have a Braun that had that feature, but it caused Braun's design to be flimsier, resulting in their switch mechanism breaking irreparably. This Cuisinart kettle seems not to have that design flaw in its switch. Overall, I am more than happy with the kettle, and I know the price was at least $20 less than in stores. I was worried about the refurbished aspect of the deal, but my kettle seemed new and pristine when I got it two months ago, and it works great.

I've owned this refurbished electric tea kettle for 5 months and use it daily with no reported problems. What a deal and it still heats the water as quickly as it did when it was first purchased. I was a little worried about the refurbished thing, but it has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend for anyone that needs hot water quickly and easily.

It works great, though is not as fast as I had expected. I haven't used it a lot, but it works as it is supposed to, and it is beautiful. Good feature is the ability to remove the kettle from the base. It is expensive for a tea kettle, but is a luxury item for those wishing to indulge.

I had been looking every where for a brushed stainless tea kettle. They are not available in alot of stores, they are not as common in the USA....!! It is refurbished but it looks brand new!! It was a fair price and I could quit looking. It LOOKS GREAT on my countertop!!

The kettle I got was actually refurbished, which I was a little hesitant with. It's fabulous!!! Big --- good looking -- sturdy --- and turns itself off automatically --- and you can lift it off of the heat base to pour.

This was a refurb product when I ordered it. I was a little skeptical but it's turned out great. I'm an avid tea drinker and we needed something that looked good in our modern kitchen. This looks great and works really well. I only wish they'd make one with a timer on it just like a coffee maker so I can wake up to my tea already made. :-)

Have been using this electric tea kettle for a month or two now. Working wonderfully. Heats quickly. Holds heat well so that reheating is fast. Don't know how long it will work well. Bought this one because the last one I bought (another brand) died after a year. Hope this one last much longer.

The water gets hot so fast it is great! I love that it shuts it's self off so you don't have to worry if you get side tracked. It pours well no dripping. I like that the lid is attached but it opens easy with the push of a button to fill, and closes easy by pressing it down. Because of the lid hot steam doesn't roll out when you pour, nice safety feature. The cord wraps up under the plate it sits on which is a really nice feature.

This is really perfect, and for those other tea lovers out there, I would definitely recommend. Works really well and looks great on my counter next to my matching coffee pot.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a rebuilt unit but the one I received you could not tell the difference between a new and the rebuilt. The unit work great and my wife loves it. The only negative I have with it is the warranty length. New ones are warranteed for three years and rebuilts for three months. It should be a little longer than that if it is truely rebuilt by an authiorized repair center.

THE CUISINART ELECTRIC KETTLE IS FIRST-RATE. IT'S STURDY AND TOTALLY EASY TO USE. I DON'T THINK ANYONE COULD BREAK IT EVEN IF THEY TRIED TO. I WISH IT HAD A WHISTLE BECASE RIGHT NOW I AM GUESSING WHEN TO TURN IT OFF. THAT IS PROBABLY JUST ME.---I'M NOT GOOD AT FIGURING OUT HOW THINGS WORK. IT TOOK ME QUITE A WHILE TO GET THIS BUT IT IS WORTH IT. TEA DRINKERS--THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!

I have used a stovetop teakettle for years, because I thought they were cute. Then I read that electric kettles use less electricity, so I went shopping and bought this teakettle. It has a guage so you know how full it is, and you push down a handy button to turn on the heat. When you lift up the teakettle, it turns the heat off, so there is no accidental overboiling. It's easy to use, fast-heating, and looks really sharp in my kitchen.

Coming from Europe I was so used of having an electric kettle, that I really missed it. This was one of the first things I bought from Overstock and I am really pleased with it. It does the things it is suppose to do: boiling water, fast and safe, and I love the looks of it. Great value!!

I finally found an electric tea kettle that automatically turns off after the water has boiled. My mom is very elderly and we've been trying to find a product that we don't have to worry about her REMEMBERING to turn it off. This is working out GREAT for her. Thanks.

Love this kettle, and am buying more as gifts. It's fast, efficient, and safe, and the design is very attractive. Have had it for several months with no problems, but can't really comment on durability yet.
