I bought this little gem for my daughter's first studio apartment. It is pretty tough, elegantly and simply designed, stores easily without taking up a lot of precious storage space and is lightweight enough to easily move around (but heavy enough to be sturdy and stable). It works quietly and efficiently if you don't ask it to do something that it wasn't meant to do. Like make margaritas or something. The night the prepper arrived, I tried to use it to whip up some guacamole. I could not assemble the thing so that it would work. (No, I hadn't read the instructions.) The next morning, I had a chance to get a better look at it and figured out that I simply hadn't been closing/ locking the top completely. An intelligent built in-safety function had prevented the motor from turning on at all. Seriously!? Sort of embarrassing. Once I figured out how to close the top, it all came together very snugly. It's done a neat job with chickpea dip, salsa and guacamole, so far. I'm curious to see if it will grind coffee beans well... As you might have guessed, I considered taking this one home with me and to heck with my daughter' sfirst kitchen...but then decided it was much wiser to just order another, also metallic red. (It comes in amazing colors.) No, I don't work for Overstock.Read More

How to Clean a Computer Fan
Heat is your computer's number one enemy, which is why it has one or more fans to help push hot air out of the computer case and pull cool air in. Computer cooling fans are typically installed next to vents on your computer case, but your computer's processor may have its own fans and heatsinks, which sit on top of the processor chip. Dust and dirt then collect around the blades of each computer fan and may eventually cause the CPU fan to break or slow down. If any one of the computer fans breaks or slows down, heat builds up and may damage the processor or other components in the process. To protect your computer, follow these simple steps for keeping your cooling fans clean.
How to Choose a CPU Fan
Whenever your computer needs to perform calculations it relies on the central processing unit (CPU), often referred to simply as the processor. When the CPU is in operation it generates heat, so it must rely on computer components such as a CPU fan and heat sink combination to adequately dissipate the heat. Without a CPU fan the processor will quickly overheat and become useless. If your computer's CPU has been running too hot, choose a new CPU fan that provides better airflow.
