Customer Reviews
I've already used my new Cuisinart 11 cup food processor about 50 times since I got it about 2 weeks ago. It's got great power, it's very convenient to use and easy to clean (it honestly takes about 2 minutes to clean the whole thing), and it actually inspires me to cook more. It is so beautiful (a lovely deep shiny red that matches the rest of my kitchen) that I keep it right out on the counter, rather than put away in the cupboard, which is probably the real reason I've used it so much; it truly is more convenient when it's sitting right out there, than if you have to dig past the pots and pans to get it out. It's like a piece of lovely decor that just happens to be extremely useful! I'm not totally sure of the durability, yet, since I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems to be sturdy and well-made. My ONLY criticism would be that the shredding and slicing blades have a lip on their underside that food collects in and is hard to clean out, so it ends up getting stuck and dried. You need to have a toothbrush or some small implement handy to get in there; sponges and regular scrubbers just push the food in further. It was a bit expensive, even with the Overstock discount, but I guess all NICE kitchen equipment is. Over all, I LOVE my new food processor, and I hope it's still serving me well 20 years from now (about how long I had my last one, which wasn't nearly as nice)
