It is not a bad product. I've read people say it waste beans, that is because they are clueless on how to operate it. On the front panel you have the grind control. That is for how many beans used for "X" cups. How many cups you end up having depend on how much water you fill up to meet that cup. Anyhow, serve the purpose.

This coffee maker works well but at first will be complicated to figure out. Once you get through it, it is actually very easy. It makes early mornings so easy and the coffee very fresh. It has a setting for the strength of the coffee and the only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because the strongest setting isn't quite strong enough. I just add a couple of scoops of ground coffee to the filter, set the timer and strength for strong and wake up to an excellent cup of coffee. It would be perfect if I didn't have to add my own scoops of ground coffee.

There is not a simple way to put it into words. This coffeemaker kicks butt and takes names. I have owned about 4 different coffeemakers in my lifetime, and this one brews coffee on par with your local coffee shop. There is not much too it. Its totally digital, so even the novice user will have no trouble brewing the perfect pot of coffee. It comes with a built in filter and grinds just enough beans to make the desired coffee. Its also programmable so you can wake up to that rich coffee smell! What else can I say, I love it!!!!

I bought my wife a European Technovorm Moccamaster coffee machine for Christmas, but despite its great review in Cook's Illustrated, we were not impressed and I returned the unit. The Cuisinart Burr Grind and Brew is a great coffeemaker. The functions and control panel are easy to use. The unit it easy to clean. It makes great coffee and we are very satisfied with this purchase.I would highly recommend it.
