I've owned several Cuisnart Grind and Brews, and loved them but hated that there were so many parts to clean. This model has less parts to clean, and a better grinder plus you can choose your coffee strength and grind. The bean hopper is wonderful since, depending on how often you drink coffee and your strength, you can make several pots without refilling it with beans.Now, having said all that, you must be careful not to jam the burr grinder, and by cleaning the chute, which is simple, every few days you won't have a problem. I bought this model brand new and had to return it within a week because the grinder got jammed. I don't think it was defective. Just some people (namely my son) are not qualified to operate it. Not that it's difficult but you do need to remember to empty the basket of coffee grounds before making another pot! Oh, and this does not come with the gold basket, just a paper filters, and I highly recommend the gold basket. I already had two from my old Cusinarts.Any way, I decided to give this model a second shot, and this refurbished model was an excellent buy since they sell new for $200.

The product works exactly as advertised. The grinding noise is moderate. It does seem to use more beans than my previous Cuisinart.

Great looking coffee maker, keeps coffee hot, it looks clean and neat on my counter and it's pretty easy to use, though I have not used the grinder as of yet. You have to buy a filter for it too, so be prepared to pay about $10 for one. It comes with two paper filters, but they are messy. One thing that happens too is that it shows finger print marks on the stainless steel (on the sides)...so I am a neat freak and constantly wipe it with a cloth so the finger marks go away. Overall, my husband and I are happy with it and happy about the price and the delivery of the product. I would recommend buying one.

Just got coffeemaker and first pot was excellent (I ran it through once with water to clean out dust as recommended in the instructions). BUT, It came with the wrong filter (but it had a couple back up paper filters to use) so my recommendation is to purchase the gold fiilters that are NOT cone shaped (it uses the flat bottom gold filters). The grinder was quieter than the older model, and it seems a LOT easier to clean.

This is a great coffee maker. Others have stated that it uses too many beans. This can be "fixed" by simply putting your "normal" amount of beans for 1 pot into the hopper...turn on to grind -then turn it off once the beans are ground and turn the grind function off...turn it back on to complete brewing. Easy...great looking, well made...affordable...looks brand new ...there's nothing to suggest it's refurbished.

After a ton of research, I decided to purchase this coffeemaker and couldn't be happier. Easy to use, easy to clean. Makes excellent coffee and I am a coffee snob. Don't hesitate, this is a great deal!

I like that this grinds the beans fresh right before it brews in the morning. I will mention that there are no grind settings to adjust the type of grind you get. I put the just the amount of beans I want to be ground the night before when I'm filling up the water reservoir. This allows me to make the strength of coffee I want without wasting beans. I use this at my cabin were counter space is limited. At my main house I will stick to a separate grinder and brewer so I can adjust the grind of the beans. This model does make a nice cup of coffee and my refurbished one came with the gold filter it was added in outside the box. Couldn't tell that this model was refurbished it looked new. Overall I'm happy with this and would switch to this in my main house too if I could adjust the grind.

Love this coffee maker so much I've bought three! One for me and the others were for people who loved my coffee so much I had to buy them one. Unit is refurbished but you wouldn't know it isn't brand new. I use Starbucks "bold" whole beans to make a rich, "coffee house" cup of coffee.

This machine makes a great cup of coffee! Clean the grinder chute once a week and you'll have no problems.

This is a great deal on this machine. Definately for the coffee connoisseur. You have to keep an eye on the beans to make sure there if plenty in your hopper, and it's good to clean out the hopper shoot regularly. If you don't want the extra work of cleaning out the hopper shoot, then buy a machine that just takes ground beans. A gold basket doesn't come with the refurbished maker, but I found one with an internet seller for just over 7 bucks. Overall, the machine works great, looks great, and makes excellent coffee!

I am happy with the product. The reason I could see that it was refurbished is because the heating tray that the carafe sits on is not level. But it works great, and the fact that I could buy a 2 year warrenty for ana dditional $$ - I could find a better price anywhere else.

We have been using the coffee maker for about two weeks now and have thoroughlly enjoyed using it for both ground and whole bean coffee. It was simpler to use than we expected and makes great coffee!

We purchased the Cuisinart DGB-700BC 12-cup Automatic Coffeemaker (Refurbished). We opened the box to find that it was taller than the space between the counter top and the bottom of all the kitchen cabinets. Luckily we solved this problem by placing coffee maker at the end of one of our counters next to a wall. The unit itself brews superb coffee. The burr grind feature really does produce great flavor. Works well but the beans grind very coarsely which makes the basket overflow if I make more than 8 cups of coffee. Overall I'm really happy with it and would buy the same one again if given the choice.
