This is the second grind and brew I have bought. The first was a gift for my daughter and she loved it so much I purchased this one for myself. Its easy to clean and after using it for the last few months I now know that I will never go back to my old coffee maker!
This thing is a little complicated and not easy to figure out, but we got it after having it overflow a few times. It's easy to put too much water in and at first it was difficult to figure out how to brew coffee without using the grinding feature but we got it and it works great.

Works fine. Good value. Refurbished no problem. The four removable pieces can be 'complex' for some. They all have to be removed for cleaning and reincerted correctly. I like the fact that it will not work unless the grinder cap is in place. Could be a mess if it did. Probably should not grind the beans until everyone is awake. The program that starts the grind and drip makes a great alarm clock (noisy grinder). The durability of the "snap" closers or buttons that open the various parts of the machine may be a concern in the long run, but no complaints so far.
When the coffee grinds it plugs the screen and cause spillage and, thus, weak coffee. This is even wrose when you set the timer. It doesn't seem to grind long enough.
This is the second Cuisinart Coffee Grinder/Maker I have bought. I have yet to use the grinder since we are using the rest of our bought coffee but I was a bit dismayed by the yellowish color on the front of the maker. The maker is all white but where the coffee is inserted, it looks like a plastic cover was removed and caused a yellowish color. Unfortunately, it on the front portion of the coffee maker and you can't miss it but I bought it to make coffee and understood that it was refurbished!
I bought this coffee maker for myself 3 years ago and love it. My mom stayed at my house this summer and wanted one for herself. I purchased this one for her christmas present. She loves it. The only negative is the grinder is loud. I use it as a back up alarm clock.
For the cost, it's great. I already owned the exact model in black. My Mom and brother loved my coffee so much that I purchased this as a gift for them. It doesn't matter that you have to take a little extra care to clean the bean grinder...it's absolutely worth it! (takes all of 3 extra minutes!)
I gave it all four stars. But I am really enjoying the grinder feature. I have been grinding my coffee beans for years but this is fast and easy. This is my first grinder brewer and it works great. And I believe the coffee is hotter than with less expensive brewers. Plus well designed for easy cleanup.
I had one on these machines, works well except after using the grinder for a year the grinding part stopped working , but the rest of the coffee maker still works. So now I have a regular coffee maker with grinder that quit working and their is now way to repair the feature. So yes I would recommend this to a friend, but I would also let her know my experience and the drawbacks of this coffee maker.
Wonderful, I have not even ground coffee in it yet but use regular coffee in it and it is great.
quick brewing time, easy to clean and operate - It makes great coffee from scratch.
i really enjoy my coffee maker. i have had one in the past and knew what to expect. once you have fresh coffee in a cuisinart, its hard to go back.
I ordered this being a bit weary about refurbished products. To my surprise it functions perfectly. And even has some higher-end features. It is programmable so I wake up to to smell of coffee(which is the best way to begin your day in my opinion). Also comes with a simple filter for the water. My only complaint is that I did have to do a bit of cleaning in the grinder upon inspecting it. It should have been cleaned by overstock - since it was a refurb. Overall great value.
This is our first experience with a grind and brew machine and we love it. We have had no problems with it and will certainly consider refurbished appliances in the future.
This is our 3rd grind and brew, and this price is 1/2 of what we paid for the first one 8 years ago. Well worth the money if you don't mind cleaning the mess of the grinds (it's not that bad). If we drank more than a pot a day, I'd probably go with a grinder separate from the machine.
