This would be my second Cuisinart grinder coffeemaker. I was hoping that cuisinart had made design changes that would improve the operation of the maker, and they have. It was a good machine before now its a great machine, they cured the moisture problem and added the brew feature wich does improve the taste of the coffee.
We had the same coffee maker before this one and it served us well.....so we"re so pleased to find another new coffee maker, reasonably priced, to buy. Thank you!!
This coffeemaker has lasted a few years. Makes good coffee but when you use the grinder, which is great, you have to completely clean all parts before making a fresh pot of coffee. Also, the top of the maker will eventually loose its ability to seal tightly so we have used very strong velcro to hold the cover down, this lasted about 9 months. It is cheaper to purchase a new maker rather than going through the hassle of possibly not having a full pot of coffee made after setting the timer. Great buy, great coffee, but we wore it out!!
This grind and brew coffeemaker works great. Yes, you have to clean it often; however, you can brew a couple of times before you clean the "innards" and let air dry. Rinsing the brew basket and grinder after use is okay, too. I've been using mine daily for 3 weeks and am very satisfied. I like not having a separate grinder - frees up counter space. The coffee brews well and stays nice and hot. I researched price and performance before purchase and feel I made a good decision.
This is my third Grind and Brew coffeemaker ... they last a long time - I just use it a lot ... the only down side is that it is a bit loud ... but I use it as my alarm clock :-)
