I've had this coffee pot for over 2 years now and I still love it! I have 3 kids and I love that they can't burn themselves on it. That's what first inspired me to buy it. We've gone through 2 moves with it also and it had made it through without a crack. It's easy to keep clean and I get lots of complements on it. The stainless steel finish shows finger smudges pretty easily, but it also wipes clean very easily too. I would buy this machine again in a heartbeat.
Yup, you read right, I have bought 5 of them. I actually HAVE bought this for a friend. The heater holds the coffee temp just perfectly, and the taste doesn't change from overheating.I have looked at this in major retail stores and the price here is always the best. Sometimes it is refurbished, sometimes not, and it has made no difference.I was worried about not being able to find another one when my first one would eventually break down, so I have one waiting in the wings!Only one little inconvenience...getting the water into the tank has to be very precise, or you have a mess (as with many coffee makers, actually), so I would recommend a pitcher rather than the holding tank container to do this.
It's the best coffeepot you'll ever buy, right until it dies... And then you'll just buy another one, KNOWING it's going to die. I'm with others, hoping that the remanufactured version has magically had its electrical flaw fixed, but if not, at least there's Overstock, where I'll just buy another one. Seriously, once you get used to this coffee pot, if you love it, you love it enough for it to fail you again and again. So, my overall rating is middle of the road, I couldn't recommend it to a friend, but I'd buy it again and again. As this order proves.
Like others, I loved my coffeemaker but it died in just a little over a year (once a day use). I'm now shopping for a replacement, and I won't make this mistake again.
I knew someone that owned one of these and looked all over to get one of my own. Thank goodness Overstock had it! This is an amazing coffeemaker, easy to clean and it's so wonderful not to have a carafe. Highly recommended!
