Real Deal
Got this as a Refurb and the only thing that was not like new was that it was missing the gold tone filter basket. Already have a couple of them from previous coffee makers so that wasn't a big deal. I love this coffee maker. You can adjust the carafe temp and we like it on hot, and it seems to make the best tasting coffee of several makers we have had over the past several years. It is easy to program and all the controls are easy to read. Because it was a refurb we got it for a real bargain.

Great coffee, but emits too much steam
This machine makes excellent coffee, and it looks great on the counter. However, a lot of steam is vented out the back near the top through vents. This can damage your cabinetry, so you may need to move the machine when it's brewing.

No Manual
The coffee maker is excellent. The manual was missing and when Overstock.com was contacted they said that because it's refurbished "any item not specifically listed in the description is not guaranteed to be included with the product". The manual must therefore be ordered or downloaded from Cuisinart. The serial number is also defaced because it's refurbished. Cuisinart will gladly provide a manual.

I am delighted with this coffeemaker!
This was a wonderful purchase. The coffeemaker looks very nice - better than the picture, The surface resembles fine sandpaper. I have black appliances so this looks great with them. I think this one is nicer than the "stainless steel" ones that I persnally think look rather cheap. It makes wonderful coffee. The carafe poors without dripping! The packaging was like it was brand new and I received the manuel. I'm very happy with this!
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The coffeemaker is more attractive than the picture incates. The surface is a light black rough surface that resembkes fine sandpaper,. Looks great!

REALLY a 4.5 rating
We like the toggle switches, being able to control the brew strength, and the ability to program the pot temperature. The only thing that is slightly negative: a reusable metal filter allows coffee grounds through, so we use both a metal and paper filter.

Works very well
Bought a refurbished one that was packaged like new. I really like that it has different heat settings to maintain temp of the brewed coffee, as the hot temp was too hot for me, but medium is just perfect. Even following all the instructions, it has overflowed three times already for no apparent reason - did not overfill coffee or water - drain was not plugged - coffee pot was seated properly, etc, which resulted in grinds in my coffee (ouch). Other than that, it has worked perfectly. Would have rated it excellent if not for the grinds in my coffee. If the problem persists, I will be returning the product, but so far, so good this week.

I am very pleased. Its a coffee maker so...I can't get that excited. But I am very pleased. It came in perfect condition, if it had been used I certainly couldn't tell. All parts and manuals were included. It was a great deal and I will order from overstock again!
