Great!
I was lucky enough to receive 2 coffee makers for Christmas and I ended up choosing to keep this one. I was leary of having a caraffe, but after reading through I realized that it will not have that burnt on effect that others may have as it turns off completely when the coffee is done brewing and the insulated thermal caraffe keeps it hot for hours (tested and true). The coffee maker is very appealing to the eye and it also comes with a permanent filter so that you do not need to use/buy the paper ones. It is very easy to program for next day use. I highly recommend it!

thermal is the way to go
the thermal pot is the way to go. we bought this to replace the prior one we had which lasted 10 years. if this dies in a year i'll be sure to post.

Nice coffee maker
We enjoy very much the coffee it makes, especially with the metallic filter. The only snag is the lid. We can't open it easily (especially a lady with "nails"). It is extremely tight. Would have given it a four star review otherwise.

A little disappointed
I am a little disappointed with this Cuisinart Thermal Coffeemaker. The design of the carafe makes it hard to pour all the water into the machine. The coffee stays warm but not as hot as it did with the glass carafe on my old model. The knob on the older models had a better design and turned more easily than this model. I would not switch from Cuisinart but this model leaves me disappointed.

Great coffeemaker!
I enjoy having a filter built in, the 5 beeps to let me know that the coffee is done and it automatically shuts off. I was amazed at how long the carafe keeps the coffee hot. Best coffemaker I have owned.

it makes a good cuppa
it;s a nice coffee maker - and saw how much tech had changed in the 20 or so years since my last i had purchased my last one. all features work correctly , i found no issues with measuring the water or pourig the coffee as for flavor etc- it makes coffee- I don;t know what the deal is between the types of coffee makers but I'm simple- this just makes coffee-

Best coffee maker!
I bought this stainless steel coffee maker for my husband because he has been notorious for breaking glass coffee pots. He literally has gone through 7 coffee makers this past year alone because he lets them dry upside down in the drying rack and they fall off and break! He hasn't learned his lesson however that is besides the point. I was basically looking for a coffee maker that had a pot that was nearly indestructable and I found it. This coffee maker is made out of plastic however the pot itself is a combination of plastic on the lid and stainless steel for the body. I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. The pot itself is a bit heavy so you can tell immediately the quality of the product. The stainless steel aspect of it also keeps coffee hot and cold if you decide to make ice coffee by putting it in the fridge. He was very impressed with the carbon filter that keeps the coffee fresh and said it was one of the best cups of coffee he has ever had. The coffee maker comes with triangular shaped coffee filtered specifically designed to fit in the maker however regular shaped filters have worked just as well. You don't have to spend the extra money to get the "right" filters. This was a wonderful buy! Completely satisfied!

GREAT COFFEE POT
This coffee pot is a great value. It keeps the coffee hot due to the carafe and makes a great pot of coffee. My husband loves it. The timer is great addition to it too, so when he gets up in the morning coffee is ready to go.

Not hot coffee.
Expensive mistake on my part! Coffee even when poured right after brewing is not very hot. I should have stuck with a coffee maker that has a glass carafe and heating element. I have other Cuisinart products and have been very pleased with them, but this one is a no no.

coffee not hot enough
Was a good coffee maker except that the coffee was not hot enough. I called Cuisinart and they said the coffee should be 180 degrees, mine was only 155. Perhaps mine was defective. I returned it, reluctantly, because I liked everything else about it. Did not replace it because I am afraid this is a product design flaw.
