We loved this grinder--it was quick, cheap and able to grind our coffee perfectly. I liked its look too. The only reason it has a bad review is that the product stopped working less than a year after we bought it from overstock. Others don't seem to have had this problem, but it was a disappointment for us.
I am very pleased with the Cuisinart Coffee Grinder. The only complaint I have, is that the lettering on the grinder is almost off on the grind selector. Small annoyance for the great price and solid performing appliance. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
This grinder has preformed flawlessly for the 3 weeks I have owned it. I personally want an extra fine grind for an espresso press, and this achieves that easily. I also used it to regrind some coffee beans that were not fine enough from SB, and it handled that too.Pretty much a perfect appliance. I do wish the hopper held a whole bag of beans instead of just half, but that is rather picky.For this price, it is a no brainer. The time I save not standing around waiting for beans to be ground (sometimes poorly) alone makes this worth the money. The added freshness in my lattes is evident as well. Worth every penny.
We bought this about 5 years ago and its still grinding! besides the one time we had to clean the little slot where the fitting slides into place (very easy fix) it has worked like a champ! Highly recommened!
I've had this unit for several years now, and it's worked like a champ for me. I like that I can set it to a pre-determined amount of coffee, press the button, and just walk away. The plastic hopper does sometimes permit the beans to jam up a little, which can throw off the quantity ground, but it's not significant.That said, this is the second-loudest appliance I have in my house, just behind the wheat grinder, but well ahead of the vacuum cleaner. Kids complain when I turn it on, that sort of thing. This isn't all bad, though - it's kind of nice to hear someone else start it up when I'm still asleep, and know that there will be fresh coffee waiting by the time I roust myself...
