As far as the "refurbished" part, could not tell it wasn't brand new to begin with so that was good. However, the interior of this oven is really too small for our cooking/liking. If you turn the one rack opposite side up that takes the bottom rack up a little from being so close to bottom burner elements. Yet, it still leaves the food pretty close to top burners so we have had a lot of items burned during the "learning-to-use" phase. If I could do over, would have ordered a toaster oven broiler with larger interior capacity. This is NOT large enough to even cook a small pizza. It does make good toast however and will warm small portioned entrees. The knob for temperature adjustment is very loose and not sure if it is actually setting to temperature. Again, because of the small interior, you have to be very careful with broiling (low temp setting and WATCH it) as things can burn in just 3 to 5 minutes depending on how close they are to top burning elements.Read More

Hello jacyaugust, I hope your day is going well. I opened the broiler and came up with these parts, the handle and feet are plastic. The cord storage is plastic and the knobs also appear to be plastic. The heating elements have plastic connectors which are BPA free according to the manual. The heating element is not plastic but I don't know what it is made from. I hope this helps. Have a great day and thank you for shopping with us.

How to Install a Built-in Microwave
Microwaves are a kitchen staple. They offer convenience, no residual heat from cooking and, when compared with an oven or range, efficiency. With so much going for them, it's no surprise microwaves are so popular. If there was ever a drawback to having a microwave oven in the kitchen, it was that the appliance claimed too much valuable countertop real estate. But ever since microwave ovens were made to be installed over the range, that dilemma has ceased to exist. Installing a built-in microwave is really not that difficult, but what many people don't realize is that they need a dedicated 20-amp circuit installed in the cabinet directly above the microwave oven for the installation to be up to code. If you're not comfortable running your own circuit, hire a qualified electrician for the job. Once you have the circuit installed, you can then install a built-in microwave.
