The toaster does not work. I inserted two slices of wheat bread into the first and second slots. The first piece got burnt while the other did not get toasted at all. Unfortunatelly, I threw away the original box (and the return slip) and did not want to go through the hassel of sending it back. So now, I can only toast one piece at a time in the second slot and several times over. I am definitely looking for another toaster. I will go to a local store though so that if the toaster does not work I can quickly take it back. If the toaster worked I would be happy with it as it looks nice and the slots are wide and do fit a bagel.
Thus far this is a great toaster. Browns evenly. It is smaller than my old one which is fine, as it now takes up less counter space. It is modern & sleek looking. One thing that took getting accustom to was the two LED lights on the front panel. The first few nights, when the lights were off I thought some one with red eyes was staring out into the kitchen. I would purchase this item again. Thank you Overstock.com!
